I feel like Mittelstadt would be a great solution for our 2C problem. Only real issue is of course what kind of a deal he’s looking for, but with his numbers it’s not like he’ll get 8-9 million anywhere. He’s currently making 2.5M per year and the deal expires after this season, but luckily he would be RFA. I think we could fit him in for ~5M, reasonable deal but a huge raise for him obviously.
Think they’ll use him to get a true #1 in goal, but would love this as a 2C solution for us
Would cost us a lot but I’m into it.
He will slot in nicely in the mittel-6.
He would fit as an offensive threat, what he’s looking for in an extension would be a big part.
Not sure what we’d have to give up, I don’t think Buffalo would be too interested in Byram, given how much they’ve already got tied up in LHD’s.
If I’m Chris MacFarland, I’m doing everything I can to get this deal done. Call me a reckless idiot, but Mitts solves our 2C problem this year and potentially for years to come.
