  1. Time to ban all hits. Expecting a player to full stop in 1/20th of a second because a player can't follow a rule you are taught as a child "keep your head up". Remove the defense positions and play 3 on 3 all game. What a joke league.

  2. I don't think it is safe ever enter the zone not looking forward and we keep seeing players cheating in this in dangerous spot. I see this likely re-occurring many more times in future unless they outright ban the step up defensive hit.

  3. I’d have no problem with the hit if zadorov wasn’t trying to chicken wing his elbow and stared at him for at least 2 seconds he knew what he wanted to do Canuck homers would disagree but that’s nothing new

  4. Did they really forget Zadorov was 6’6??? No matter how low he goes it’s gonna be a high hit

  5. Had he gotten his shoulder and clobbered Raymond, I would think ray got clobbered by a clean check…..but no instead he got hit in the head with a hit that the league doesn't want in the game. Its not like ray was moving around erratically, zad had plenty of opportunity to pick a different area to hit. Its reasonably consistent with that hit to expect a suspension of some sort. I would have prefered 3 games, but I can also understand just the 2.

  6. Normally, I'd say this was a needed suspension for the NHL if they are looking to crack down on head contact. But Raymond came back in the game and flopped around like a fish for the rest of the it, looking for penalties. Really made me question his credibility tbh. It was Stuzle/Lindell/ Mike Smith levels of floppery.

  7. I'm a wings fan and I'm saying that was a clean hit,it was hard but clean.
Modern hockey is weak , too many penalties, it's what the league has become.

  8. keep your shoulder down, dag namit… why oh why you need to hurt others?! perhaps its your way of defending? then go see Doc and if lets you. He'll drop you off in Nhl 80's.

  9. I note ho Zadorov lifts his elbow & shoulder to ensure he hits Raymond hard – intent to injure… The NHL just published, showing and explaining their decision.

  10. It may have been accidental, but I think that clean hits, should be the only way. I think that's what the league is saying. No more, no less.

    GO WINGS!!

  11. Its because Raymond scored 1 within the first minute of game. He's a threat and He's fired up now!! 🐙🐙🐙🐙🐙🐙🐙🐙

  12. It doesn't matter which teams or which players are involved checks to the head area are a pretty serious issue that the NHL has to take action on. Zadorov had the time to say lower his body and just knock him down with a body check but he didn't. The only way to show that the NHL is serious about cracking down on these type of hits is start suspending players and then maybe the message will get across that they are not going to tolerate it anymore and you will be suspended. Perron got six games for his hit so 2 games is warranted in this situation.

  13. zadorov deserved this 2 game suspension.. why does he go from his side of the ice to the other to hit somebody when it is not needed. thus putting his whole side of the ice open… adam foote has alot of work with this guy ,, his hockey iq is very low , hopefully he can be taught how to play defence properly or he is gone ,, my opinion

  14. You must’ve had money on the Canucks😢.The guy’s elbow was definitely up and looking for a target!

  15. If this were a body check and Zadorov wasn't skating in the way he was, there'd be no suspension. But there was no body contact until after the hit to the head. Wings fan and all, but I took off my tinted glasses and watched the hit for what it was.

In other news, DoPS finally suspended someone who hit a Wings player up high? Feels a little odd.

  16. I think the suspension makes sense, could be much worse but do could the hit. It's nothing like some worse his we saw this year but they also went for longer suspension. This interesting thing I see about it is that zadorovs return game is also against the red wings
