I don’t see how it’s 2 games. Barely clipped him, Raymond sold it like he just got fucking shot, and came back into the game pretty quickly. Clearly it was not a malicious play. Big Zed and Myers can bond over getting called for being too tall
I get wanting to take hits to the head out of the game, but when you consider some of the other things that haven’t been suspended this season, this feels a bit unfair.

Absolutely ridiculous suspension. It was worth the penalty, but in no universe was that a suspendible play in my eyes.

I feel like the NHL is overcompensating for them fucking up a few calls earlier in the year. This hit (and the Dillon one the other night) shouldn’t be suspendable. Head contact looked incidental and the hit wasn’t predatory, Zadorov even lowered his body when making the hit. Kinda sets a precedent that any head contact regardless of the circumstance is suspendable, and that shouldn’t be the case
This is fucking horseshit. I thought the 7 mins straight of pp time and soft penalty shot call would have been enough.

It’s ok. If accountability is a motto, this just pushes the narrative. Be accountable even if it’s a freak accident. Rare slip give aways in Boston leads to a 4-0 loss with a ping pong goal, still gotta be accountable.
