  1. This team is dysfunctional… Change this coach and get a defensemen. doing the same thing over and over is a sign of insanity. Time for a change.

  2. Reilly did nothing wrong, credit to Keefe where it's due for standing behind him and for showing some emotion himself finally. Yelling at the refs when they need to be yelled at and the team when they need to be yelled at. The league is a joke and Parros is in charge so that clown will probably give Reilly the max because he's a salty loser who's still mad at Colton Orr for K.O ing him out of the league.

  3. Max was on fire tonight!
Too bad the first goal was offside.
Proud of Morgan for his reaction to the slap shot! Letā€™s move on lads! šŸ’™

  4. too bad the Leafs didn't have Morgan Rielly's passion from the start. I just get the impression that they don't hate to lose. Those teams in the 1980s, as bad as they were, were a lot easier to cheer for. Those players seemed to care a lot more, and the players were just more likeable. This current team makes me want to puke, especially Mitch Marner.

  5. Make Reilly Captain he has heart and shows he really cares unlike Matthews, Marner, Nylander or Tavares. Team is giving up too many points against these bottom feeder teams

  6. The reporter asking jones what was stupid the slap shot??? I mean derrrr what else are you dense lol? Like what kinda question is that you know what he meant by what the guy did at the end….lol these media man SMH lol

  7. What a stupid question by that female reporter lmao why is it appropriate do you know anything about hockey etiquette lol? That's not something u do it's disrespect like jeez they gotta screen these losers more for dumbass questions keefe was annoyed asf I would have been too and just said next question or no comment you can't be that clueless come on you watch hockey right or just pulling questions out of your ass lol? Like what.

  8. Jason Murray couldn't have put it better. Rielly was always the guy but the not as popular a headline with the hometown boy returning home from the Isle. Captain Passive's post game's are as annoying as Dion Phaneuf's. This team is going nowhere until one of these core four show some fight and pushback. Keep enjoying the face washes and giggling when you get cheap spotted and pulled down in scrums. Shows the true character of this team.

  9. Leafs' Keefe after last night's loss: "We'll take a day off and get ready for the next one."
Bruins' Montgomery after last night's loss: "I have no answers. If I did I would have given it to the players. But itā€™s not acceptable, and weā€™re not going to accept it. We will change or things will change."

One team has been in first for pretty much several seasons straight no matter who is in their lineup and set an NHL record in points last season. One has lost its season series with both the Blackhawks and Senators who are 28th and 32nd in the league. Reasonably, an outsider would expect the responses to be switched. Not here.

One is actually a team that holds their players accountable to a certain nondiscriminatory level of performance and one is not. But it's not on the Leaf players (mostly). The core has delivered. If Bert and Domi had better seasons or the Leafs had some semblance of solid goaltending this picture would be entirely different. Who is the one deploying the players, poorly, in a perpetual game of musical chairs and shift mismanagement?

Fire Keefe. He has never instilled any kind of emotion into this club except to start yelling at the bench as a last resort this season. He has no intensity, no outward passion that rubs off on others. Ho hum go amongst "the process" and "everything will work out". Cannot motivate. Has run out of ideas. Says the exact same thing about the opposition and his team every pre and post game. His players play and talk like he acts; Totally nonchalant. Nothing critically matters. Everything is "part of the process".

What is "the process"? Does he know? Does he mean "the process of winning a cup"? Isn't this the guy that's won nothing and when he finally made it to the NHL he failed to report and then bounced around the AHL for a few seasons before calling it quits? Who is this guy? An OHL record holder with a big ego? What does he know about "the process"?

The process of experiencing groundhog day, sure. He's great at that.

    End this.

  10. What an embarrassment. I've seen some pretty bad leafs teams in my 60+ years of watching the leafs, but this team is such a disgrace to the organization. Absolutely NO attention to detail… NONE! And it's not so much the losses, but HOW and WHEN they lose. And it's not all the players fault either… Management and coaching plays a good part. You can't make the playoffs with one line on your team.

Lack of passion from the players in general is just so frustrating to watch (and no, skating around chasing the puck like a madman and putting yourself out of position isn't "passion"). The laziness and lackadaisical play by players like Nylander (now that he has his big money and NTC) is completely unacceptable. Taking a slow scenic skate back to the bench when the puck is moving toward your zone is just arrogant and insulting to the team as a whole. The D-core of this team (and D-coverage in general by all players) looks completely discombobulated. Honestly, I've never seen anything like it in the 60+ years I've been watching this team. And here I thought nothing could top the terrible D-ZONE play of the Kessel years.

These players have stopped playing for this coach, period. But we all know Treliving will wait until the season is lost before he replaces the coach (if ever). This season is a right-off because you have players unwilling to play play-off style hockey to get into the playoffs (arrogance, I imagine) and unwilling to listen to the coach re d-zone coverage, a coach who isn't willing to make the necessary changes to wake his players up (benching a 4th line center is just laughable!), and a GM who refuses to has already made some very questionable acquisitions and will likely wait until it's too late to make the necessary lineup changes, and a president who can't seem to admit that his "Shanaplan" is a complete failure.
