I feel like SJ did lose the Meier trade but it's difficult to grade the deal without knowing.exactly what Vegas, Carolina, TML, Winnipeg, STL offered. I also wonder if NJ had other packages available including different prospects.
As for Megna, I woulda held on to him, let him keep playing with Karlsson to showcase a little more and you coulda got maybe a 4th and a future 6th or something like that..
Makes sense Reimer wasn't moved because he wasn't good. He was lights out last season, shoulda moved him then or the summer and ran with Kahk & Hill this season
The bottom line weither the Sharks want to admit it or not, this is not a retool, reboot, is a total REBUILD! Yes, it hurts, its goung to be painful, frustrating, but the Rangers, Kings, Sabres, Red Wings, have or are going through it, Look what Stevie Y is doing in Detroit? He's going about it the right way, They are further along than they thought, Mike Grier has to get this rebuild right, and the goaltending has to be addressed, the fans need to be patient. You want to be good not for 4 or 5 yrs, you want to be to be great for longer than that. A lot of work ahead for this organization.
