Incredi they made up for how poorly the airport was set up I didn’t know that you could stop that get stopped that many times at an airport like me personally or you personally got stopped at every single point of of an airport none of it

Was your fault so I don’t want this to come off as blaming you but if you weren’t there Pete and I would have been through like an hour earlier that’s not true because I was assisting with the uh kiosk a lot I would that there was a lot

Of what button do I press boss kind of stuff going on so I I think I saved like 30 seconds and then added like 45 hours yeah the only reason we had trouble with it though is because of the discrepancy between your passport no no no if you

To do more while we’re here in Vegas we’re going to go to Oilers golden kns Tuesday night in Vegas which is the hottest ticket in the world possibly that’s the real big game possibly the biggest game that’s happening this week and that’s initially we were going to

Say that as a joke but now people like when we said that we’re going to this game tomorrow people were like damn I I in complete honesty care way more about who wins that game than who the super bow absolutely I am so distracted by the

Through a bunch of stuff from Allstar Weekend in recap but the big uh highlight of today other than that we are at the Super Bowl and that Pete is way too comfortable being like Oh DJ held us up at the airport [ __ ] guy unbelievable is that we have Rasmus

Dalene we sat down with him for a lengthy conversation he was fantastic we wanted to get him on forever and we had a blast with him there was just a big bang it was a pop it was distracting it it was like more of a pop than a bang

And that’s scarier to me because I don’t want to get into anyway uh we will get to Ras at some point but first uh let’s talk about all-star weekend because there was tons of stuff going on in Toronto they did it up super well that’s the first thing I’ll say yes Cong like

Congrats to Toronto for having a good successful hockey thing for the first time in their life had a blast we saw tapate McCrae we saw Michael bé all these people it was wild a lot of Nikita coov discourse uh you want to just do like winners and losers from the the

Weekend all right give me a winner uh winner was Michael bé Michael bé is like obviously has been a star for a while but I never considered him a cool guy until like the last two to three months I mean I’ve seen him go on a few

Podcasts he seems like a very downto earth like real real hockey fan and then this weekend really solidified that not only was he on mushrooms at the All-Star draft which uh key to my heart what a lovely Guy having a having a time in outer space at the uh at the draft

Allegedly but allegedly sorry but also uh him just like going into the media room to do his press conference and like pointing out members of the hockey media that he was excited to see was just very heartwarming for me so Michael bé big winner this week very very Canadian uh

Will Arnette by the way I I feel like has gone underrated from that weekend because those two doing a press conference together was incredible there was supposed to be a Bieber and tapate McCrae press conference after the rumor was Bieber because he didn’t have a contract with the NHL and didn’t

Actually have to do anything that he didn’t want to do skipped out on it as a result Tate McCrae all respect to her was like if he’s not doing it I can’t do it because then people would be like all right officially Bieber is still cooler than Tate McCrae so respect uh Tate

McCrae the biggest star of the the weekend people thought going in oh come on it’s Bieber he’s so huge it’s his City and everything I got thoughts on Bieber I’ll share in a second but T McCrae was the non-stop talk of that weekend and like not just from us I feel

Like we were talking about t McCrae less than everybody else yeah I was going to say I I wouldn’t say she was the biggest star or like the anything but there was most certainly the most Buzz around her than any other person in Toronto there was like a hush that came across the

Room when she walked into uh that media room to take her pictures the energy shifted the energy shifted and it was incredible because she walked in in did her like little photo shoot in front of the the backdrop didn’t say a single word didn’t take off her glasses and

Then uh after people were done snapping photos they’re like all right and then she just walked out and left it was the most Rockstar [ __ ] I’ve ever seen so uh massive winner shy was seen canoodling with Tate they were spotted out on the town there was a picture taken of uh

Them getting close we don’t know where it was it could have been at scoa bank arena for the skills competition but we just don’t know when it was taken but they were out and about together I don’t want to speculate about their lives but it looks like uh they they’ve begun to

Hit it off and we’re a Sharky podcast that’s right and now we have to start asking the question is Sharky the kid looy like is the kid ly inside the Sharky suit she was also spotted with the kid looy right so put two and two together I don’t know uh big loser from

This weekend was uh Nikita kov Nikita kov obviously you mentioned the discourse the skills competition thing like I I have a I I have a hard time getting worked up about a skills competition but like Nikita kov went to enough lengths that I was willing to get

Worked up about it because what loser energy to pretend like you’re too big or too cool to do the skills competition like you have to at least pretend that you care but he’s like call me a loser how many cups do I have dose that’s that’s not enough to to pull that [ __ ]

My take is twofold a I don’t think he was trying to dog it I think he would probably try give me a break brother I know what talking he was probably trying as hard as he was able to and then he got embarrassed by oh you you saying

He’s like was hung over I’m not trying to lay any allegations against him I’m just saying well I can tell you give one piece of evidence that Nikita kucherov even drinks I’m just I’m just saying there’s a possibility that it wasn’t that he was dogging it he was trying as hard as he

Could that’s just all the effort I’ll tell you what they weren’t drinking out of those bio bioeel containers it wasn’t bio steel it wasn’t and also in his defense everyone in like the months leading up to the all-star break is like no one gives a [ __ ] about the All-Star

Break and then a player shows up and doesn’t give a [ __ ] about the All-Star break and everyone is like you should give a [ __ ] about the All-Star break no that’s my point nobody gives a [ __ ] about the All-Star break nobody gives a [ __ ] about the skills competition really

But you have to at least put in a baseline level of effort to pretend like you give a [ __ ] because if he if he’s that much of a standout for not giving a [ __ ] he’s going above and beyond uh winner gay stuff they had a uh Pride cup

Event with Heavy Hitters like it was like they didn’t I know it’s some events over the years they’ve done like okay like let’s do something that isn’t just our league and let’s do like this was like Andrew ference was there they had an insane trophy that was amazing

There’s a shot of G of uh Gary bman holding up the this Pride cup that they made it is not quite as cool as the Stanley Cup but like the second coolest trophy not just in hockey but in the world amazing it was great uh another

Winner I need to give and this is going to be controversial uh Justin Bieber I age lot of hype surrounding Justin Bieber for this thing huge expectations for him and he barely showed up I can’t imagine anyone doing a Toronto Hockey thing more than that that is Toronto

Hockey well everyone’s like you here hey we got be he’s not really doing anything now it’s over what the [ __ ] was that I I disagree because uh he had he had a story of redemption that weekend because uh during the fantasy draft he was a

Super lame oh barely got off his ass uh didn’t do much during the fantasy draft but then on on Saturday before the All-Star Game him getting there hanging out doing some grab ass in the locker room and then fully suiting up hitting the ice for warm-ups and like living out

A childhood dream that was super cool I thought that was [ __ ] awesome and I was going to say uh I may be mistaken but I was watching like TV at one point and they were saying that that was like his first public appearance and the performance he delayed that night was

His first performance and since he had like facial paralysis so I didn’t know that that was a thing yeah he he had to cancel a tour over it uh so a little bit of a comeback there and then yeah like it is very Toronto to like the night

That was about him the draft didn’t show up but when it wasn’t about him he became the center of attention I think Bieber is is big like uh doesn’t really care all that much about being a star anymore just wants to do his own thing and I respect that uh winner Jeremy Swan

For some weird reason I have run into Jeremy Swan like a 100 times in the last like 4 weeks and it continued at the airport he walked in like oh what are you doing you’re going to Toronto ha he was very excited for this All-Star game and it was his first All-Star game

He got drafted to team McCrae he got to wear a piss Jersey uh also winners us because we were just saying uh piss Jersey without consequence people knew what we were talking about when we were saying piss Jersey David pook wore a piss suit that was amazing uh another

Winner Alex gorv won 100K losers people who thought that that was Vindication or proof that he should have made the All-Star team how [ __ ] dumb are you he’s not bad at hockey he’s just having a bad like yeah he’s able to make a couple of saves oneon-one in a

Competition where someone’s just kind of doing a Dipsy D dunkaroo and lobbing a r out on net you [ __ ] losers you I got to stop will say I will say the fact that it was on McDavid is a little bit of a Redemption cuz like it was the best

He was Guy now he’s having a good season I guess no but I’m just saying like everyone was [ __ ] on him he got one chance to be like Yeah well yeah I mean like people were criticizing his All-Star nomination and if if he has a bad Allstar Weekend and he embarrasses

Himself he would have gotten dunked on and so I’m kind of happy we’re TI on time Sean uh give us your thater Demco take he didn’t hug Jeremy he didn’t hug Jeremy Swan I’m sure like everyone’s seen the video at this point if you watch the video I’m pretty sure Demco

Was like the first one that he or one of the first ones he you were the first he sway didn’t put his arm arms up for the hug until Demco was like past him all the other goalies understood all the other goal he had his arms up before he

Got he looked miserable the entire weekend I have hugged Jeremy San every time I’ve met him and it’s never started with him just like if you see Jeremy Swan you got to know he says he said on our show just matter of fact I like hugging yeah that’s right he likes to

Hug people so if you’re walking by him you got to assume even if his arms aren’t extended yet there’s probably a he’s hug uh last loser have to mention it Cole cylinder the weekend from hell for Cole cyinder everybody was giving it to him he finally finally publicly addressed the

Uh the Tate McCrae backlash or whatever you want to call there was a meme that said uh step one be Cole singer step two date out of your league T McCrae step three and then it accused him of doing some stuff step four she comes to your

All-Star Game and is a bigger star than you yeah well not his All-Star game cuz he wasn’t there but he his response was uh literally all of that is false which is I was very I texted you guys right after I was like guys Cole cylinder just

Said he’s not Co right I I respect him for trying to defend himself in the midst of all that uh all that hoopla but you can’t say that literally all of it is false when the when Step One is literally be Co cyinder without I mean without knowing what happened there I

Don’t know what’s been like reported as actually being factual or whatever like they dated they’re not dating anymore he has been [ __ ] on so much and I know that like we don’t God if we were going by hockey social media we’d have brought up

A lot of much worse [ __ ] on this uh show this season that ended up being false young people date young people break up young people do stupid things I like him standing up for himself again like we don’t know what happened like assuming like nothing horrible happened this

Guy’s getting [ __ ] on not just by like hockey fans and everything by STS who are the most toxic people in the world other than actually bad people so I do respect him being like [ __ ] leave me alone please but you you got to know

That you said you’re not Co I mean I I mean that’s funny you defend yourself don’t do it on a random meme that shows up on Instagram that’s the weirdest energy ever save that bullet and when and you do when you do fire that bullet make sure that you don’t deny being co

Talent in the world and um and we got to compete we got great guys in the locker room so we have it uh just experience we need we need uh we need some more experience um when we have that I mean we’re going to be a dangerous team in this league

For a long time did you guys feel like the shift of the public perception of you guys from last year to to like even this summer because I feel like you guys were the hype around like oh the the Sabers are the team that’s going to take

The next step did you feel that at all yeah uh for sure um and that’s what we expecting we expecting to take the next step and um yeah it was a lot of outside noise um that we never been a part of before too so so uh it was a lot of new

Challenges coming into this year and uh we slowly like trying to not trying to we slowly are figuring it out and um I think we’re finding uh us as a as a good team now and uh we have a lot to to give still do you look at a team like the

Oilers and like they’re a team with so many good players who are like either young or entering their prime or whatever and like they’re kind of similar to you guys of like when it’s turned off it’s crazy do you look at what they’re doing right now and say like this is

Feasible not to like break any sort of win streak records or anything but like we can be this like dominant top of the conference sort of team for sure uh I mean some of the games we play we play unbelievable and uh we beat the best

Teams in the league and um and we outscore them and it feels like it’s the game is super easy and then uh another game we uh we can’t really find it so um yeah I mean we can for sure be a really good team in this league we just uh got

Some work to do you guys gave Boston such a good game in December you know you know why why I wasn’t on the ice I didn’t play that game were you really I’ll tell you the truth no one else could have played I would have noticed

We were up very close I was so stunned by Tage Thompson and just like he’s the question I wrote down about Tage Thompson is just T is magnificent it’s not even a question he’s just so big and so vast in such like a a tantalizing

Great look I do want to flesh out the the Zack Benson living situation how does that get set up is that like a you decision is that the team ask if he can live with you uh the the whole thing was uh he’s a rookie right 18 years old and

Uh he was looking for places and uh it was talk about him getting going to a Billet family in Buffalo and stuff so I was like I just I I got a new home this summer and it’s um too big for just two persons I was like sick flex no no it’s

Not flex but uh I had room and um I asked him do you want to do you want to stay at my place and he said yeah and it’s been I I I absolutely love having having him in my place we’re we’re having a ton of fun what’s the worst

Thing about him as a roommate I mean he he never listens to what I say he just does his own thing and um yeah that’s whatever he wants did you live with anybody when you came into the league me and Casey midad lived uh for three years

When I got into the league yeah two two pretty young guys like at the same time the same same situation what did you take from that experience going with uh Zack Benson now anything uh I mean we had a blast me and Casey middle step but

I kind of wished I um I learned this like off I stuff with preparation and uh recovery I mean I had McDonald’s way too many times that season and um at the end of the season I I couldn’t even play out there because I was so gas like 80 games

Are not used to that and all this little stuff I’m trying to help sack with and um I figured it out but after after a few years you’re you’re still so young but like having a younger player live with you does that like do you feel it like beefs up your leadership bonafides

And that like you’re learning a little more about like how to deal with again as a Young Man yourself but like how to deal with kids these days yeah I’m 23 uh no but yeah um it’s definitely um I I’m I’m a better person

Cuz I want to lead by example um I want to show him uh my the best side of me uh to eat right and it feels like he’s always watching me so I’m trying to do the right things and it helps and um so it’s it’s uh it’s also good for for my

Hockey having in there so yeah did you uh did you like the All-Star draft the the whole spectacle of it all yeah it was cool it was really cool setup yeah so the Celeb captains because this was in Toronto where Will Arnett Tate McCrae Bieber Michael bé who would be if there

Were an All-Star Game in Sweden who would the Celeb captains be William neander because he’s pretty much a celebrity back it’s unbelievable I mean he’s I feel like a lot of places he’d be a celebrity Captain right now especially here he’s also like leaning into like the celebrity thing I feel

Like he’s out there in the podium with like his chest he’s got the earring got like the long hair he’s he’s like really leaning into like I’m a yeah for sure I mean I’ve seen countless documentaries about like Abba and like Max Martin and all these like Swedish celebrities and a

Lot of things that they push is that like uh for like hyper talented people from Sweden they push like be humble be humble and everything how do you feel that works for you as you’re in a different country where if you’re a star here you’re supposed to be outgoing and

All this big stuff and be Larger than Life yeah um I’m I like it more uh if you’re a star you should show it and um be yourself um have crazy clothes be yourself and all that and Sweden it’s kind of like everyone is the same don’t

Try to be anyone and stuff so um I absolutely love when uh all the stars you see Matthews um neander and all these guys um doart they’re doing I think it’s helped the game and uh it helps everyone um so I’m I’m uh I’m more I’m more American and North American on

That side for sure pook also dressed incredibly yesterday he had a whole ass suit that just looked like piss but awesome it was the coolest thing that’s ever looked like piss ever uh I wanted to get your thoughts on the uh the four nations cup it’s going to be Canada

Sweden us and Finland there’s so many good players that get left out of that pook played in Soder ti so like do you guys get him do you scoop up do you like make JJ PKA a fake ID and just like scoop up all these free agents I’d love to yeah

No I mean uh that when that got released today I I was so happy because um when I was young all I watched I because you can’t watch anell when you’re a kid back home in Sweden because it’s in the middle of the night and then uh you’re

Able to watch all the best players play against the best players um especially from our country um it’s really really good for for Swedish Hockey and we haven’t been able to do that because because of Co and stuff so um I’m I’m very happy that I pull that off and uh I

Think it’s going to be a good future with the Olympics and stuff now too so um yeah I’m I’m super excited for that as like a big big time hockey guy like younger guy did were you like a YouTube highlights guy for the NHL yeah I never

Watch any live games all I watched was the Swedish League uh but you heard about all these players like Peter forsberg and all those guys and yeah I was always on YouTube watching him go 16 laps around the net and score goals and stuff so um yeah you didn’t you didn’t

Have it was it was Tage right who had the uh the Youtube channel where he just cut up highlights and had like his own uh NHL mixtapes you do any any stuff like that yeah I had an Instagram like uh double tap if you like hockey I

Posted stuff like that all the time really yeah I think I got like thousand followers or something was pretty cool hell yeah keep it going man that’s incredible uh you hit I want to say 102.3 in the hardest shot competition last year uh we saw Char was on our
