  1. Smith is a perfectly fine player, just doesn't seem to be a fit in Pittsburgh. It happens, the Penguins have been through plenty of forwards that didn't fit. Derek Brassard for example.. it just seems like Smith's heart is still in the desert. The Penguins need to do something…. this roster is stagnant. Look for a decent second line Center and slide
Malkin over to the wing with Sid and Jake. Slide Rust back to the second line. They need to do something.

  2. you are absolutely allowed to slap shot an empty net… in fact.. you're invited to…. but expect to be pummeled.. but yeah, you have that right

  3. You obviously never played hockey before….Greig doing that, was a big “fu*k you” to the Leafs. Any hockey player with any pride would do exactly what Reilly did. Stick to the face was a bit much but Greig knew what he was doing, and it was going to warrant a response.

  4. Ned would be a good trade chip. We would still have Hellberg and be able to give Blomqvist some NHL action. Is Ty Smith a lost cause? How close is Pickering?

  5. I personally would not trade Reilly Smith back to Vegas. He acted all unhappy here and didn't produce, so why give the guy what he wants?
I'd trade him to whoever gives the pens the best offer. But not vegas. Don't reward someone for their poor performance and lousy attitude.

  6. who takes a clapper on an empty net breakaway in a game against a rival , and then turns to see who’s coming after him with his hands at his sides. i can’t believe hockeys become so soft. good on morgan and the ottawa kid for making the game exiting. leave it on the ice for next game

  7. Wait a second, you guys expect more from Malkin, howww. Who is Malkin playing with? One Ahl er and two wingers who cannot will not crack 15 goals. There is a bit of delusion. As a second line center Malkin is out performing John Taves who is playing with Nylander. What narrative are you guys painting

  8. No-one like to hear this, but you want this team to compete, for the playoffs, Smith won't make a dent. Geno needs to go. His age is really starting to show. He's becoming a turnover machine, turning it over nearly every time he tries to puck handle around the zone on an island. His huge salary could fill a lot of holes including a decent second line center to replace him. Geno is the first of the big three to really show his age and before it gets too bad, move him to a bottom feeder for picks or floundering talent in a small market.
