Letā€™s go, another whole day of discourse lol

Does he have to? Nothing he says is going to change anyoneā€™s mind about anything, all thatā€™ll happen is we have to hear more about an incident that I for one am sick to death of.

Hear me out. He comes out and says “I’d like to announce a trade”. Then he brings in a top 2 RHD.

Has a GM made a press conference after a player suspension…like….ever?

  5. I only want this if Brad just straight up calls out Parros. Full scorched earth. Massive fines. Just for the hell of it

I know it’s going to be vanilla af, but you better believe I’m gonna pretend that it’s going to be spicy.

Ok, this is odd. GM’s don’t usually like to comment directly on league actions because they have to walk a fine line between the team, league and even the media and fans in TO. This might be more intriguing then the actual outcome of the hearing

Edit: Hold on, I’m pretty sure there’s still a fine for speaking out about a suspension less than 48 hours after. Doug Wilson got hit with it and a couple other for $100k for basically disagreeing with the Raffi Torres suspension a few years ago.

EditEdit: [Link to an article on Doug Wilson’s fine](https://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/sharks-fined-100k-for-gm-s-comments-about-raffi-torres-1.1367224) from 10 years ago. I assume the rule is still in place.

So for the second game in a row Grieg started shit he couldn’t handle. Took a bad knee (I’ll admit) and talked shit then ran off while his teammates handled things. At this point I wouldn’t want to be on the ice as his line mate. I know he’ll talk shit and dissapear when the team needs him.

He pulls a reverse uno card and announces a trade for a dman

  10. adamzep91

Oh baby please be the New York Rangers and Gretzky in Salt Lake City combined

  11. be_leafer

I would be shocked if Treliving has the balls that Burke does.

This is probably gonna be a waste of everyoneā€™s time.

  12. Actually insane that they give Morgan 5 games.

2 games would have been a stretch honestly. He really should have gotten 0.

  13. rangers9458

What is there to address? Reilly is suspended. Maybe he will say Reaves will be a permanent fixture on the ice and not in the press box.

  14. Oh I hope he calls out Parros. I’m fine with Mo’s suspension, but they are so wildly inconsistent with their suspensions that it does absolutely nothing to protect players and make the game safer. The same kind of cross check would get 1 game, 2 games or just a fine on any other team (not saying there is a bias necessarily, as this has affected other teams as well. A Jets player getting cross checked in the face resulting in just a fine comes to mind). So much for setting a precedent I guess…

  15. Gavin1453

Please get a fine, Brad! We will all forgive you for Klingberg of you do

It will be an odd hill to die on… but at least it’s something. The NHL, and DOPS, has no credibility. Teams like the Rangers and Leafs should be pushing for change, regardless of the slap on the wrist fines.

So naturally I expect Shanahan and Brad Pizza to say nothing substantial at all.

  17. joerph713

It will be awesome if Treliving skewers Parros and the team goes on a hot streak in response to Rielly showing that punk bitch whatā€™s up. Treliving should show video of all the similar offenses to Leafs players that went completely unpunished. As well as more severe crosschecks around the league that didnā€™t get close to a 5 game suspension. Fuck Bettman.

Is the go fund me started for his fine? Or we all just buying BP gift cards?

  19. He is going to talk about it instead of Keefe because Keefe already showed he should keep his mouth shut.

  20. AmosTheBaker

My prediction is that Brad announces the team will appeal and lays out his arguments why, making passive aggressive digs at Parros with Shanny there nodding in agreement.

  21. Thrillhouse918

I want a PowerPoint of other infractions that had no call or only a fine to call out Parros

  22. Medium_Well

Just read a list of all the blatant crosschecks in the last three years that haven’t gotten so much as a review, let alone a max suspension.
