Mike Milbury and Jeremy Roenick don’t like each other
A discussion of rough play in the NHL appeared to approach violence itself as Mike Milbury and Jeremy Roenick engaged in a heated argument live on NBC Sports Network.
Milbury is a fuckin bafoon, all his bullshit this nonsense coming from a guy who yelled and screamed at some kid in youth hockey game and got thrown out.
This would be minimized if the old school enforcer still existed. You wouldn’t do that to yzerman with probert around. Gretz with mcsorley or semenko there. There’s no consequence to a dirty play now.

This is a tough one. Nystrom didn't look like he was head hunting, well, he actually might have been… yet did a number on Letang. I agree with parts of what both JR and Milbury are saying… I watch the great game of Hockey for the goals, the great passing plays, etc. While I do also enjoy watching a clean hit, if I want bodily violence, whether it being hits to the head or fighting, I'll watch a boxing match. The game has to protect its players, it has to change the mentality of throwing a check with the intent to injure… Without the players, the sport will only suffer. And to the sport's credit, it has changed its rule book to deal with this issue.
It turns out that Hockey has kept the best commentator of the three. Keith Jones has consistently offered genuinely intelligent commentary on this wonderful sport. And he does it with humor and the good sense to watch what and how he says things. Glad he's still around, world class asset to the game.
