Well ladies and gentlemen another year of disappointment from these Buffalo Sabers what can I say it seems like every year this team goes out gets a couple players in the offseason nothing seems to work but today we are going to be talking about some potential trades

The Savers can make now this video is going to be focused on who I think the Sabers should trade not exactly who I think the sabers should bring in I’ll make another video as we get closer to the deadline but this one’s kind of just an overview player by player of some

People who I think they should deal off so first things first let’s talk about Eric Johnson right I mean we bring in Eric Johnson on a one-year deal in the off season and I got to say I didn’t really like it he’s an older defenseman but I thought maybe he could split some

Time with some of our younger defenseman be that you know that Mentor type player for them let’s just say none of that has worked Eric Johnson looks pathetic out there I mean I just hate to see it too because again he he was good at one

Point in his career I mean he’s a number one overall pick for goodness sake but with that being said he just has not been good this year and it sucks that the Savers just refuse to bench him refuse to let you know Ryan Johnson have

His time now we have seen those two as a pairing before but yeah Eric Johnson you got to deal him off right he’s on a one-year deal there’s no way you’re going to resign him next season and I respect Eric Johnson he was one of those

Guys who wanted to be here his team reached out to the Savers and kind of made that happen in the offseason but we got to get rid of him Toronto has been looking at him though I know Toronto’s GM was at the Savers game a couple

Nights ago and you know he’s been linked to some other teams again Eric Johnson has a lot of playoff experience he’s got a Stanley Cup under his name he’s very good on the penalty kill I I guess you could say that I mean I’ve seen the

Savers penalty kill work but I I I will say Eric Johnson does put his body on the line on the penalty kill and he would be a possible good get for one of these playoff teams that needs a rental defenseman that has some good experience

So I think you should be able to get a good amount for Eric Johnson I mean you know in the beginning of the season I thought maybe a sixth or seventh round pick I’m starting to think you get a higher pick for him so again you’re

Probably not going to get a player for him but this is one of those guys where I’m okay with getting a pick for let’s move on to zus gurgenson now zus gurson’s also signed a one-year deal in the offseason with the Sabres he’s spent his whole career in Buffalo it would be

Weird seeing him with any other team but if you’re going to do it Now’s the Time right because I highly doubt you bring him in with all the prospects that are coming up with the Sabers it’d be hard to believe you bring back zus gurgenson next year Boston’s been linked to zus

Hey I mean you know I I hate to give Boston a player and I hate to wish him luck going to Boston a rival but it’d be cool to see zus gurgenson have some success in the playoffs something that he you know has not got to do with the

Sabers so pretty much anything you can get for a guy like Zenus gurgenson take it take it now because we have prospects that are ready to go that zus is kind of clogging the way for speaking of zus gurgenson let’s touch on kylock poso because it’s the same exact story right

He’s been in Buffalo for a while now unlike Zam guran since he you know he he has had some success with other teams like the New York Islanders but with that being said akosa has been here forever and he has not really had any success with the team much like zamus um

And Boston is also interested in him so maybe both of those players will end up going to Boston who knows I’m sure there’s a bunch of other teams that would be interested in a veteran like zamus or Roso with that being said though they’re both tailing off zamus

Has not been very good this year aoso you could say the same thing but it’s going to be tough to trade your captain right I I mean I see this as you know pretty much not happening it would be really shocking to me if kyak poso does

Get traded that being said though if a team offers you anything for kyak poso again take it I mean you have so many players on the Amar that should be playing towards the second half of the year and if you want a guy you know if

You need a guy that you’re going to take out of the lineup it’s got to be one of these older guys who doesn’t really have a future with the team that would be kyak poo so we’ll see if they trade the captain I highly doubt it next guy I

Have listed here is Connor Clifton now there hasn’t been too much talk about trading Conor Clifton but I just have not enjoyed watching Conor Clifton play on this team again you bring him in he’s on a multi-year deal not a ton of money but enough money to be kind of concerned

About it and again if you could get any anything for Conor Clifton to get out of that contract I’d be okay with that again he just has not been what we wanted him to be in Buffalo sure he was great in Boston you know playing 10 minutes a night 12 minutes a night

Looking like a you know a stud out there in the in the minutes he played but that was because their team was so stacked when he was out there it didn’t really matter and sure he could lay the body he’s kind of has that offensive mind I

Mean we’ve seen him fly around the corner sometimes down the wing and put a you know a we a weak little slap shot on that whatever but again this Savers team is far from a team like the Boston brues that just needs that one guy on that

Third pairing to kind of skate around or on the second pairing no we need a little more Talent than that Kevin Adams promised to give us a uh a partner for Owen power like last season the season before has yet to do that BR in counter Clifton that that’s not going to work

That is not going to work really would have liked a guy like Jacob chcken at the time or you know someone of that stature but bringing in a guy like Conor Clifton that was not going to help Owen power out at all next guy I got listed

Here is Jordan Greenway now he does have one more year after this so you don’t have to trade him this year but it would be nice to trade him because he has a modified no trade clause next year so at the trade deadline next season it might

Be a little trickier to trade a guy like Jordan Greenway who might you know kind of put all the pressure on to just stay here and then sign his own deal in the off season that being said though I mean Jordan Greenway he has some good moments

He’s okay on the penalty kill but he plays so small I mean he’s a big guy but he does not use his physicality at all refuses to shoot I mean the other day he was on the power play and let me tell you about five six seven times he had

The puck right in front of the net just refused to shoot just threw it back to the D I mean what is the point of being on the power play if you’re not going to take those open Lane shots I’m not even going to get into the Sabers power play

That could be an own video of its own but let’s just you know continue with Jordan Greenway here I mean again you could definitely get a package for him I I don’t think it’s going to be anything too big but if you could get someone you know with the same type contract Maybe

Switch you know uniforms with a guy maybe it’ll work out Jordan Greenway just does not play well with this Buffalo Sabers roster and the last guy I have listed here now this is going to raise some concerns this is going to make people go into panic mode I’m not

Saying we should do this but Casey medat Casey medat you know we all know expiring deal right um the Sabers haven’t been too high on resigning him long term I know there’s been some reports that right now if you if you know these reporters had to pick a side

They’d probably say they resign him but they could definitely see them the Sabers trading him and Kevin Adams is listening to a lot of you know a lot of trade talks regarding Casey medle stat so with that being said I believe if the Savers don’t want to resign him long

Term you have to trade him now right we do not want to sign him to a bridge deal a lot of people would say oh it’s okay you know sign him two three years whatever we don’t want another Sam Reinhardt all over again then we get

Oursel into a cap issue and then we can’t hold on to him and Casey midat becomes you know the best of the Bunch that we didn’t resign we don’t want that resign them long term or get a ton while you can because Casey middle said is one

Of the few Buffalo Savers players this season that is living up the expectations right he’s got a good amount of points good amount of goals you know and if he was having this season while other players who are currently disappointing were having good Seasons as well the Sabres would be in a

Very good spot so you cannot blame Casey middl stad for any of the failure this year although you know he’s not having a crazy year he’s still living up to expectations so you should be able to get a good amount for Casey middle stat and again playoff teams get desperate

And with a guy like middle stat so young there could be another team that’s not even in the playoffs that has you know high expectations to resign him in the off season so we’ll see what happens there now I’m just going to kind of rant about uh Kevin Adams potentially trading

Guys away for Draft Picks and Prospects let’s be real here the Savers do not need any more draft picks or prospects again the NHL draft is a complete Wild Card any pick out of the top 10 could be anything right I mean we we know that

For a fact and Prospects we have enough of those right we have enough prospects that already cannot fit into this lineup because we have too many older players and too many players who shouldn’t be here that you know clog up space so next season I know this was supposed to be

The year for playoffs next season you have to make the playoffs and trading a bunch of good players for prospects that is not going to do it you have to get ready to play ready to win players at this trade deadline and in the offseason

Uh in free agency as well now with that that being said reports have said Kevin Adams wants good players that are ready to play right now he’s ready to make trades right now again the deadline does not till March 8th um but you know at the time of this recording we’re still

You know like half a month out a little little more than that from the trade deadline we’ll see what Kevin Adams does but again I do not have high expectations I think Kevin Adams has been a great GM up until this previous offseason and then he kind of you know

Laid an egg it it just has been a horrible year for the Sabers again we’ll see what they do coing too I think coaching plays a big role into it I know there’s a lot of players out there that played under Granado and the you know Team USA developmental systo man those

Are the guys they’re going to Target if Granado is still the coach but again the way they’re playing right now and the way Granado sounds in these press conferences seems like he’s on the way out but we’ll see what happens there thank you guys for watching comment in
