Jamie Drysdale makes Philadelphia Flyers debut, Nicolas Deslauriers scratched to make way

Jamie Drysdale will indeed play on Wednesday for his new club, but how does the lineup shake out with him in? PHLY Sports’ Charlie O’Connor has the story, and the details of why it’s Nicolas Deslauriers who will be taking a seat against the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night in the final game of the team’s four-game homestand.

  1. My phone keeps auto correcting his name to "Drywall", so with no disrespect to Jamie, i will only be calling him Drywall

  2. Jesus Shall Return!! We all need Jesus!!! We need some more pucks in the back of the net too… keep up the good work!! It’s a fun time watching!! You guys are turning heads!!!

  3. Drysdale wasn't a good PP guy in Anaheim, but his transition ability is near elite because of his skating. Will be fun to see what he improves on in Philly.

  4. Ya know….I have zero issues with the LGBT community. Why would or should I? But, these pride night things… The tape… These are pushed but political activists and pushe for political reasons using political slogans and imagery. I just don't like seeing them in Pro Sports just like I don't care for it in Corporate settings. Politics need to stay out of every single aspect of life. Someone being part of the LGBT community has absolutely nothing to do with them being a hockey fan or hockey player. They are no different than anyone else really. Ti segment into a seperate group just seems so strange to me. This isn't the 1950s! Times have changed and changed for the better. This issue, and worse the people, are being used a political weapon and I find it abhorrent.
Now…is it the end of the world if a player has rainbow tape…no of course not. Just saying…. Keep politics out of my favorite place to escape it. 😉

  5. Drysdale is gonna do just fine. When all is said and done and after the last few years (decade lol), I'd rather have more Defense and a scoring dman and a player that we know that can hack it in the show, the. A kid who might…might be an offensive star in the league. And…have a kid that wants to be here! Offense wins games. Defense wins cups!

  6. The Flyers know for certain according to sports radio why Cutter Gauthier wouldn’t play for them…yet they say they didn’t..It’s a shame Cutter with Michkov would’ve been a great combo…panicking move by the ex Flyer mgmt team..
