If the Canucks wanted to look at Kessel why didn't they bring him in earlier? Is 3 weeks enough time to gauge whether he's NHL game ready?
Injuries….injuries….injuries that’s the real key to a long playoff run.
To those guys that feel they need to leave because of the free agency calling may find themselves in a situation where they just can’t catch the same flame they caught here in Vancouver because this is really about team chemistry especially that 3 rd line.
With Kessel you get a veteran who knows what it takes to win 3 Stanley Cups.
They need to trade the 1st for Tanev he'd be a huge difference maker really boosting their playoff chances and Myers has been showing his weaknesses again lately and will get eaten up in the playoffs.
They should trade Myers to free up cap space or possibly trade him for a physical PK forward.
If they would rather another addition than Tanev whoever it is he should be a lot like Tanev and hopefully have a great PK and physical presence.
