Unfortunately, if the Predators enter next season with Juuse Saros on the roster, it'll be hard to view the front office as serious about contending.
IF Saros gets traded, I'd be looking at acquiring a first pairing defenceman instead of a forward. The Preds are rich in forward prospects but thin on defencemen. Four of the team's defencemen are over 30 and past their prime, with Roman Josi still likely to have a couple of good years left. Fabbro is perennially in the dog house. This leaves just the physical Lauzon and possibly Carrier as possible long-term options on D going forward.
Talk about a team just in self-destruction mode
Every single dude on this team should be on notice. Trade em all. Of course only about 4 would actually draw any interest. Pathetic.
