A lot of people are hoping for the New Jersey Devils to trade for a goalie. A possible option for them is Juuse Saros from the Nashville Predators. The Devils saw him in action a few nights ago. He’s been a really good goalie for the Preds ever since Pekka Rinne retired. The asking price won’t be cheap for Tom Fitzgerald.

If someone made a joke about something as serious as suicide, then I think that person should be called out publicly, and forced to explain their moronic comment, and also their personal lack of intelligence!
Trading Dawson Mercer would be a huge mistake. First of all, he never misses a game and I always notice him in every game the Devils play. There isn’t a game where he’s invincible out there on the ice. I would rather have Holtz or Toffoli be traded to get Saros than Mercer.

Dawson Mercer or Simon Nemec is a non-starter for Juuse. Trade Holtz + Casey or any combination in our pipeline along with a first round pick, and that is more than fair. Saros would be great, but this team only needs league average goaltending. Fitz get Grier on the phone and bring Kähkönen to NJ.
This sounds crazy but i wouldn't be opposed to Timo for Saros and a pick. I hate his contract and he hasnt shown much of anything.
Assuming they would move him (Which I doubt) I would take Saros over Markstrom any day, a 28 year old elite goalie? Hell yes! HOWEVER! I would NOT trade mercer, he's way too valuable on our forward line. In all honestly tho, I think Daws will be the answer, he is showing huge promise and from what I hear even Marty is high on this kid. Now that we seem to be playing actual defense let's see how it pans out 🙂

Josi is too small and will cost too much. See what Daws does the next few years and get a goalie then if need be.

I agree with all the commenters that no move is the right move. You can’t rush the process, all the pieces are in place we just need to develop them and be opportunistic as opposed to actively looking to give up assets for something we think we need
I had to donate. That’s a very important charity and I really hope he gets better. I myself and bipolar and I’m thankfully not suicidal, but doesn’t mean it’s not very hard to deal with these illnesses. It’s extremely hard though I am never gonna be a blue jackets fan I’m 110% a doubles fan but I will always support somebody’s sick recovery from illnesses like that Don not always able to do it financially when I can, I will. I’m glad I have the chance to do that this month. I wish the doubles would start a charity like that that would be really nice because it is very important, unless you are rangers fan. But honestly, that’s the best thing somebody can do is help save somebody else’s life and help make things better for them when things are tough.
As for the trade, I do to Foley in a trade and some draft picks but Holtz Mercer and it really need to stay in Jersey for a long long time they’re great players and of course Bastian, Hughes and Hughes and he sheer need to stay. I would also prefer VV to stay. I think more important than a new goalie getting defense would help the devils such as getting Hannaford and Toff to Foley‘s salary is way high and for that we could probably get both of those guys on the team and make salary cap maybe they do a deal, and treating one excellent offense when you have a whole list of great offense for two good defenseman for the same cost, maybe even a draft down the line and not Casey that would probably be a good trade as good as tool is, he’s not producing for the kind of money he’s making. I think the devil should do a bit of a buyout in a trade deal and get those two defenseman Calgary assured of not making the playoffs, whether the Devils make the playoffs or not they do too strong defense men like those guys especially Hannin
