Looked up Podz stats and there were some impressive numbers. At the top of rookie +/- and 2nd on team among forwards. Also near top of rookie goal scorers despite having lower TOI than his peers. 2nd highest puck possession on team. The eye test bares this out as he tends to win puck battles and make smart plays at all areas on the ice. I hope Chiasson loses his PP spot and more opportunity is given to Podz and Garland.
I like it. Give the kid ice time and he rewards you. I’d rather have him on the ice than Pearson. More offensive upside.
4-2 Canucks, and I think VP is better defensively than you think. He is always ready to cover the defenseman that pinches in, and is on the boards to receive a pass in the defensive zone. I think in a couple of years he will be thriving in the NHL.
The Canucks will win 38 games 3 tyes and the rest loss they will make playoffs thus year will get stronger canuckland have faith in this team this team is stronger than it shows.

Vasily is exactly what I thought he was, but Green was a growing concern for me…I will go as far as he had a hand in running Goldobin out of town, and to that point the farm system and Green also didn't develop Dahlén properly or have enough patience – which probably was unsettling for Petey

The whole covid thing is a joke, The PCR test was never designed to detect Covid. It's all just Government overreach.
I'm the biggest fan of Podkolzin, you can even ask the SBG boys! but what I really love about his game is the effort he puts in every shift, his ability to shoot and how much he wants to improve every day, and although he's not been all that productive points wise he certainly is a key piece to our team and will continue to be a key piece for this franchise going forward!

Is there something I'm missing? I don't know why coaches keep putting Chiasson in. He's kinda slow and really doesn't do that much. And if he's supposed to be good on the pp, he hasn't shown much there either. I'd be more in favour of giving Di Giuseppe a shot. Or better yet, calling up Will Lockwood.

Podz is a great all round player. Great pick.
I saw a couple games of his before he came over and I had little doubt he was going to be something special. Twice I saw him skate with blazing speed, to me the rest of his game was really good. He has a complete game and seems to get better by the day. As with many kids who are coming to play skating is still a huge thing. After seeing his skating ability I was relieved. Really it was the only part of his game I had worries and if Green would trust him to play. Other than that he is exactly the player I thought he would be. Still surprised at how good he is. His growth rate is that of elite players. Just wait for his skating legs, then he might fly.
