Listening to this on my way work, it's currently the 15th, Happy Birthday Haley!
A lot of guys need to take blame. They play like world beaters one night then they stink up the place the next. It’s this mindset that got Berube canned. Other credit some guys have stepped up and improved their okay but overall this team has a group of lethargic guys who don’t seem yo be in the game mentally half the time. We’ve notice how many 4th line guys have big nights against the BLUES? watch and see if I’m wrong. That’s lazy play
I’m not sure bannister is the guy but it’s not coaching imo it’s pampered Players. Armstrong built this team. He has to stop giving ntc. Some guys need to be moved out if he can. Other teams aren’t going to be lining up to take problem children off his hands at least not with much return. This team is years away from being a contender.
This team is made up of a bunch of guys that are average NHL talent and have to play a flawless high intensity game to win or their goalie has to bail them out. Kyrou was supposed to be the sniper, but he doesn't play consistently at a high level, nor does he consistently display a real high hockey IQ. In defense of Kyrou, he can't be the only goal scorer on the team. Thomas cannot do it himself and should not have to. The reality is that an average team made up of grinders cannot be expected to consistently compete successfully against more talented opponents over the long haul of the season.
Who replaces Kevin Hayes? He seems like a pretty decent stopgap 3c. We are not going to be competitive for the next 3 years. We don’t have any centers ready to push into the nhl. Maybe Alexandrov, but Hayes has performed better than Alexandrov would have playing a full schedule.
