sometimes i read message boards/other forums after a team loses and their complaints are essentially identical to the ones we say as tb fans. team can’t clear. team keeps turning the puck over in the dzone. these dmen suck at clearing the front of the net.
not that it excuses this team from performing but a lot of these complaints are league-wide struggles rn i think. and on the flip side i think teams are just better at keeping plays alive at the blue line / challenging teams on dump ins / getting guys available for tips/rebounds. SV% is at its lowest in years – .904, which is identical to last year but has been decreasing every year since 2016 and is the lowest raw number since 06 (where teams AVERAGED 5.8 PPO a game compared to today where they’re averaging probably 3ish a game)
