Luke Richardson has finally spoken about Lukas Reichel and the possibility of being sent down to the AHL Rockford IceHogs for a stint to regain his confidence. Controversy arises from this however as the best competition for Lukas Reichel to become a better player is in the NHL. Anthony Beauvillier is set to return in the coming weeks after an injury earlier this season. Beauvillier who was acquired from the Vancouver Canucks earlier this season has played only 15 games for the Blackhawks this season before getting injured. Connor Bedard has been praised by his teammates after his first game returning from a broken jaw. Anthony Beauvillier and Nick Foligno both spoke on how Bedard has taken his time away from the team and his attitude towards wanting to return tot he lineup before he was ready.

I think an AHL stint would be good for Reichel. Although the talent in which he would be facing is much lower, the benefit would be getting the minutes he needs to find his game again.
I’ve been a very pro-Reichel person all season(and I still am) and I think that the potential benefits of sending him to the AHL for a little bit and letting him rediscover himself outweighs the potential negatives. I don’t think the Lukas Reichel from last season was a fluke, I think he is having less fun this season and is putting to much pressure on himself which is really hurting his game. I want him to be the guy we all think he can be and I hope that he is able to find that in the AHL if they send him there
Despite the loss bedsy's rink rat work ethic, humblness to get it done is SO satisfying to see. Once slaggert and nazar sign in looking very forward to see them excel
what's stopping him from getting on a line with bedard/kurashev or maybe even dickinson/anderson to see if they can spark him? i feel like he's set up for failure playing bottom 6 every night
Reichel would be a lot better off if he chose a different number. 27 is JR.
