Holy shit. I got busy and didn’t watch after Miller’s hatty but what the fuck happened? Social media tells me it was a reffing and defensive disaster.

Tomorrow will be the best performance of the season. Book it. If not then I’ll start the panic button.

  3. I’m in Asia right now, just woke up, wtf happened?

A good reminder to NEVER EVER… call out the refs.. (until the playoffs)

It doesn’t matter if they’re wrong.

They’ll make you pay… and then pay again.

  5. The longer I watch the NHL the more I’m convinced these new, softer rules aren’t in place to “protect the players,” but control the outcome of any given game. Never been the tin foil hat type, but the reffing is so bad it’s bordering on blatant favoritism. And not just the Nucks, but all games. Feeling more like soccer every week. Sad 🙁

Oilers and Flames are winning….not good for us.

I didn’t watch the game – what the fuck happened?

  8. show me a team that has won the cup and also allowed 10 in a game in the regular season

    legitimately curious

  9. Needed just one save from DeSmith there, 8 goals on 24 shots ain’t it no matter how you look at it. We scored 7, if we got 1 save this could’ve gone completely different in the outcome

  10. Whoever says refs fucked us is delusional. Brutal penalties. Brutal defense on Wild’s goals 6,7 and 8. Fanboys can fuck right off. It was a shitty game management. Call it like you see it.

Man wtf did I just watch…still pretty impressive after that gong show of a game we were still in it in the last cpl minutes, the game was really 8-7 if not for the empty netters. Some bad luck on some of the goals like Rossi’s redirection off skate and Boldy’s centering pass going right to Kaprizov

  12. Too much panic from fans right now. Everyone needs to go enjoy family day with family right now. Maybe have a shot of whisky or take a drag. If we get embarrassed tomorrow I’m for sure pressing the panic button!

Relax friends, we only lost by 3 goals an
d 2 of them were empty nets……. personally the team and coaching staff have earned my trust this season, and it’ll take more than a bonkers one-off game like this to lose my confidence in them.

I had thought the Canucks weren’t quite ready to go all the way this year. My only question is: will the slump continue? Or will they find that extra gumption?

Yikes just woke up to that score…gonna have to see how the Colorado game goes before losing hope but at least Tocchet got to experience real Canucks hockey…

lmao miller in his postgame interview trying really hard to not call out the poor reffing

Unpopular opinion: Casey desmith should get more ice time, not less.

  18. Finally watched the highlights. The front of the net was free real estate for the Wild tonight. You can say what you want about the refs, but eventually, you just have to learn to play through it (I also didn’t think they jobbed us as hard as the Winnipeg game). We also got ref luck on the first goal with Myers setting a pick, and Miller putting the puck over the glass leading to the tying goal is as black-and-white of a call you can make.

It was such a weird game, and they also got hosed with the scheduling here a bit, I’m almost willing to give them a mulligan on this one. If the bad trends continue into tomorrow against Colorado, I’ll be a little more concerned.

  19. i had eriksson ek on my bench in fantasy. really no upsides at all today, folks

Honestly quite a fun game to watch. Sure, the defense was very slippery in the third half but good to get a few big losses under belt. We’ll dominate the wilds if they get to the playoffs

  21. It’s pretty hard to take anything away from this game. Sure the refs were a little trigger happy on the whistles, but 2/3 of the third line missing (hope Garly is okay), some weird flukey goals (2 off skates? Like come on), and some softeys let in from the backup goalie.

Weird afternoon game against a nothing team, we’ll be fine. Dust it off and move on!
