Raymond and Kucherov

Through their first 211 games

Raymond 148 points

Kucherov 149 points

Is it just me or is Lucas really damn fun to watch, he’s also still younger than Kucherov was when he came into the league.

I mean anyone who’s really worried is probably spending to much time thinking about it,

Look around the league and you will find not many players have had success after 1 season.

Any player could break into stardom it’s not likely but not impossible.

That’s why we won’t know with yzermans draft picks until 2026-27 to see how they have played out.

The yzerplan is still definitely in place it’s almost like people think yzerman was being sarcastic when this is gonna be a long rebuild process.

Some nhl teams take 10 years and still get stuck. He’s been here 5-6 years take a breath fans.

Most impressive thing about Raymond is how he has asserted himself so strongly with a front office that clearly doesn’t like to defer to young players.

  3. I see a lot of young Yzerman and current Dylan Larkin in his game. Certainly not to the skill level that Stevie Wonder had, or even the completeness of Dylan’s game, but Ray sees the ice so well. He makes sneaky moves, solid passes, and is getting much stronger on the wall and in tight. Takeaways and closing lanes looking better, too, and of course a great shot, underrated even. I can see him being a consistent point a game player, or even better in a few more seasons. But even if he averages around 70-75, that’s perfectly fine for the team’s future.

Again number comparisons like this don’t mean anything. What matters are traits and play style. So as always what elite player does Raymond resemble that we think he can grow into.
