Gil, why’s anyone surprised after the way this season is going? I put out a group text to the boys as they were all fired up celebrating, that will probably still lose after the fourth goal. (4-1) lol Sure enough go figure. Surprised nope not in the slightest.

Why should reaction to loss surprise anyone? Typical of season. Typical of how far isles are from elite. Not even playoff caliber at this point with 25 games left. Nothing can be done about it at this point. Isles are stuck with this roster. So expect more lazy play, blown leads, bad pk to follow isles as they remain out of playoffs. Correct call would be for louzer to give ahl call ups a chance late in season when out of it. But that would take spots from his overpaid bums. Just gotta ride it out, hope louzer quits or isles cut bait with this fossil after season, and hope the fk isles keep that first. And let this horribly constructed roster go down in flames. The only way to force needed changes to it. I can't see roy wanting another season with this roster without major upgrades. Upgrades louzer can't deliver.

One major thing i saw about the islanders v rangers were that the islanders in the ozone werent kept outside along the perimeter…i wonder if it was because of bad ranger defense or the isles playing good

I don't trust Lou to do the right thing for the future. I honestly believe that Mayfield and JGP can be moved at the deadline. There are teams that need guys that play well in the playoffs. JGP and Mayfield show up in the post season and teams might think that one or both can put that team over. Varly could also have interest maybe Carolina? Possibly NJ? How about Philly? If we can dump them for picks and cap relief, I think that'll be a huge step in the right direction. Fire Lou during the summer, Make Roy GM and pray to whoever s listening that he can build a legitimate contender. 2026, Management had better Showcase LI ridiculously hard. They better be putting something in motion right now. Can't not take full advantage of that opportunity.
I absolutely DO NOT think roy is this highly touted savior as he is portrayed. People NEED TO SEPERATE the player from the coach ( see wayne gretzky) Did you see that really dumb dobson clearing attempt UP THE MIDDLE that led to panarins winner? Thats a coaching fundamental. Move the puck to the perimeter NOT right up the middle like a moron.Later roy called it a "saucer" pass…well thats something that needs to be teached before not after the fact.

Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? The Islander fans are NOT 😢 NOT 😢 ALL. They were bitterly disappointed. Hopefully they'll have it together before they 🦉 up again either at UBS, or at The Garden. Lamoriello needs to make a shocking trade. I hope they keep Clutterbuck, because they need a Rip Wheeler, who can also p light up the the lamp. The Islanders will be hosting The All Star Game in 2026. The last ⌚ they hosted the game, of course, they called Nassau Coliseum 🏡. You must this, Gil, when it come to picking the the hero and the 🐐, call it A COMMUNITY EFFORT. Maybe later after I finish watching Trots obliterate the Flyers, I'll also watch him obliterate The Rangers on The Night Before 🤶 Eve.

Looking ahead this is the most difficult schedule in the East. Only a few games left they should win against the Habs and Sharks maybe. I expect nothing. Will watch to see young player development. At least Buffalo, Ottowa, and the Habs are young teams. 10 OTL’s. How do you do that!? 3-3-3 Under Roy. Only he knows if they are improving. I don’t see it.
Brock is my daughter's and my favorite player. I would hate for him to go. However, if you retain half his salary and trade him, you can easily get a 1st, 2nd, and top tier prospect/young nhl player. You can then use some of those assets to get Lee and his salary off this roster. We have a young core of talented players in Dobson, Bo, Barzal and sorokin to build around. There are bad contracts that will cost draft capital, so we need to obtain as much as possible. I don't care about trading Wally because he is young and barely costs anything. Pageau can be moved for assets as well. This retool/rebuild just takes someone clever to make it happen. I am genuinely scared that Lou will screw this team up more.
