You Can’t Make This Up…

Nhl highlights today Winnipeg jets vs calgary flames was a wild game that calgary eventually won but the sean monahan hat trick versus his old team was pure theater. We only have one more jets vs flames game this season which is disappointing because watch the recap or condensed game for this one if you missed the actual game, it was amazing entertainment. I might make a follow-up reaction to the whole calgary flames vs winnipeg jets highlights , but this topic itself was worth diving into. Nhl hockey 2024

  1. The natural reaction when you're dumped is to feel resentment. To have the wisdom to look beyond that, and to thank fans of Calgary shows real class.

  2. True professional. Hopefully, he gets a run in the playoff with the Jets. They've been a nice story and have Hellebucyk in net which makes anything possible.

  3. I was elated when the Habs received Sean Monahan. I was saddened when he became injured. He was missed. Again on the roller coaster ride I was so happy when he resigned this year. What he said when he signed this year further exemplifies his character and value to the team. He quickly became one of my favourite Habs and I’m disappointed he was traded. I’m happy to see him succeed although I’m still a little salty towards the Jets after the Scheifele attack on Jake Evans. Now I have to follow the Jets because of Monahan;-) We miss you Sean. Come back soon.

  4. Just curious… how is he allowed to wear his visor so high,it's not protecting his eyes. Been like that since Calgary days.

  5. My favorite Flame ever and I get the business of the game but sometimes it has to be about the guy first. This was one of those times. The worst move Tre made here was sending him to the Habs to dump the contract.

  6. Habs fan. Very sad to see Monahan go, but in the end we got 2 first pick choice for him and gave nothing in return. Not a bad deal !

  7. pretty easy guy to cheer for, no matter what team you support. Great to see the smile on his face on each of his goals today, glad he's healthy again. Always loved the forehead visor too, I'm sure he'd wear it around the back of his head if they let him.

  8. such a great game. after the flames last several losses, i didn’t have much hope. Happy for Monahan even though this was the game I learnt he was a Jet 😅

  9. As someone who isn't a fan of either of the three teams he's played for I am honestly impressed I haven't heard a single bad thing from any of the fanbases. The dude sounds just like a great guy who wants to contribute any way he can no matter what the situation and sounds like a sure thing for a King Clancy Trophy.

  10. Loved Monny as a Flame. Was very happy for him to get that hatty. Wish we could have kept him that’s for sure. Only his visor drives me bonkers. lol. Like why wear one in the first place if it’s that high up?;)

  11. Love this guy on our team. Gets a hatty in the first, just too bad we couldn’t get the W after that. He seems like an absolute perfect fit for our team

  12. Loved him in Mtl, but understood that a change was needed so I'm really hoping that he becomes an awesome franchise player for the Jets.

  13. When the Habs get back into the Playoffs some time next season (or the one after) a huge thanks will come Sean's way. Nothing but praise for this guy, he's not only been the best player, he's been one of the most graceful human as well. I hope the Jets can bring him very close to the cup this year, he deserves it fully.

  14. Kippy and Tangauy and Monahana are my favorites. I wish the Monahana Bennett Johnny era produced at least a conference final.

  15. Didn't catch the game, but I hope Flames fans threw a few hats for Monny. What a champ.
And totally agree re: Oliver and his goal.
Awesome game on a human level, today.

  16. I used to work with his Dad, his Dad was a sheetmetal worker, and I'm a plumber, different companies, but always found ourselves on the same project. Also a great dude.

  17. Winnipeg fan here: thanks for reinforcing my initial positive feelings about Monahan and thanks for not mentioning the final results of that game.

  18. Great vid explaining to us hockey fan's who don't know as much about #23 Monahan's career what has & is going on with him. I commented someplace else that his broad smile was an obvious show of unbridled delight & now I know why.. i love it when hard working player's who are good guy's on/off the ice have success. The other guy's celebratory leap was gas, made me smile & rewind. Thanks man.

  19. I was never a huge fan of Monny, but I still hope for the best because he does seem like a good dude. Yesterdays game went perfectly. Natural hatty for Sean and a nice win by the Flames!
