Buttendz Fusion Application by Nic Hague

It all started with Akil Thomas. He used the grips all season in the OHL and it caught the eye of his teammate, Ben Jones. Jonesy messaged me early in the summer on Instagram @buttendz, and that led to “Buttendz Demo Day”. After Demo Day, Jones sent a picture of his grips to Owen Tippett, who hit me up on instagram and wanted in on the action. I met him in Toronto and dialed in his twigs with Twirl 88’s. He told a bunch of guys at the combine about his new hockey grips and that led me to this meeting with Missisauga Steelheads defenceman, Nic Hague. Its a really exciting time for Nic as he is projected to be drafted in the first round of the 2017 NHL Draft in Chicago. I met Nic at the Sportsworld Arena in Kitchener, ON. It was so cool to meet up with him and show him some Buttendz hockey Grips. He wanted to test both the Flux and Fusion grips, and compare the knob sizes to how he currently taped his stick. We both agreed that Fusion would be the best grip for him. The reason is that the Fusion knob was most similar to the way he taped (shape) the top of his stick. We found a good spot inside the rink (the stairs). I put the first grip on to show Nic how it’s done. The Nic aced the second application. This is so cool to have the chance to work with the top athletes in the world to help them improve their game. Thanks a lot Nic! Thanks to all the players who are eager to try our grips and upgrade!
