I am at a LOSS for words after this Canucks game…

The Vancouver Canucks lost to the Minnesota Wild in the craziest game of the year 10-7. JT Miller got a hattrick along with Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Erikson Ek. Elias Pettersson got a goal but it was back and forth craziness all game. The refs were questionable but it is what it is.

  1. Dude you're definitely not salty it was the same in 2011 its the same now Vancouver will never get the respect they deserve , look at Boston

  2. The nucks lost as well so we are all even with your loss of words. The nucks are giving it 150%. I see they have some mental lapses which kind of means the guys are tired

  3. While this was THE single worst officiated Canucks game since Stephane Auger screwed over Alex Burrows, I agree with Rick that this was a lesson about playing under pressure. We had a 5-2 lead with less than 2 minutes to go in the 2nd period. This is where you learn to approach these crappy situations with poise and not allow anyone to get the better of you. I'm just glad that we're going through this recent "hard school of knocks" now and not 20 games later into the season. Also glad that Garland and Myers both returned to the game after leaving the bench during the 2nd period.

  4. EVERYONE NEEDS TO JUST LEARN TO GO WITH IT, and APPRECIATE WHAT THEY HAVE!!!!!!

FUCK THE CUP, we are a FARRRR AWAY FROM THAT!!!!

JUST GO WITH IT… ENJOY IT LADIES & GENTS

  5. 🤣🤣🤣 this guys the biggest cry baby I’ve ever seen. Counter balanced global warming with how cold this take is.

  6. The rest of the NHL season, the refs will be against the Canucks. They are #1 in the league, it's an unwritten rule that they must scrutinize against the best team in the league.

  7. The nhl should be embarrassed about its officiating. It has always been questionable at best. At its worst was what we seen tonight

  8. I’m not denying that there were some questionable calls, but ultimately gotta give them credit for scoring 10 goals. The refs didn’t give up the goals, I don’t know what happened to the defense, completely embarrassing. No excuses for a game like this

  9. I know this as a panthers fan who got snakebitten by this exact team: you HAVE to keep your PK sharp. You can’t let them go 4 for 6 on the Power Play. You also can’t let them keep getting 5 on 3’s. Refs may have sucked, but Vancouver let in 4 power play goals tonight.

  10. The "best" team in hockey gave up 7 goals in one period. Classic.
You blaming the refs for the "meltdown"… Priceless.
They got frustrated, lost their composure, took stupid penalties and the Wild made them pay. The fact it's the Canucks is the cherry on the Sundae😅.😅😅

  11. Ok on the first goal by Ian Cole Tyler Myers clearly interferes with Letteri trying to play D with a pick play.

Yes the Wild had a lot of lucky bounces I will agree. But we also generated lots of pressure so some are expected. But yes you’re correct that half our goals were fortunate breaks.

As far as the penalties go on the 5-3s which ones are you complaining about? The ones I saw were all legit. I didn’t quite catch all of them but the last three were. Are you going to argue against two high sticks? Delay of game? Petterson’s hook to save a sure goal? Zadorovs hold was the only questionable one I recall. But most of the calls were self inflicted at the worst time by the Canucks.
The refs swallowed their whistles on the Canucks at the end of the third understandably so. But this is one game I just have to give the refs a break because the game was being called very even at the Zadorov call and then Vancouver did 3 must call consecutive penalties at the worst time.

The reversed goal is fine as long as they get the call right. That’s why they have review. I’ve seen multiple times where they will call something a major penalty or a goal so they can review and adjust accordingly if necessary. It was a tricking play and from some angles real time they must’ve thought it was a goal. Reviewed (a second time I’ll admit lol) and they got it right.

On the scramble game tying Kaprisov goal I wouldn’t say the goalie ever had it under any sort of control. The ref was very close by and must’ve had views of the puck bouncing around in the scrum. Players can’t cover it in the crease as well. It was a crazy play I was killing myself laughing while it was happening wondering what I was watching, but I trust the ref standing there.

  12. If you could’ve shown the “soft calls” i think you could’ve had a better argument. Playing undisciplined results in penalties

  13. Time to break up Hughes hironek defence combination, the last four games the opposition have scored so many goals when these two on the ice at the same time, time to try Hughes and Zadorov and hironek Myers

  14. Checked on Instagram what other neutral fans thought of this match and my god… It makes me want to throw up 💀

  15. holy shit the amount of copium in the comments right now is hilarious. Period one was dominated by the wild, period 2 the nucks walked all over the wild, period 3 the nucks kept fouling and fouling and fouling. Not BS calls, obvious high sticks, a clear hooking on a scoring attempt, delay of game is as blatant as it gets.

  16. We thank the Canucks for crapping the bed time and time again!!! So much for being "The Best Team In The NHL"! Looks pretty laughable when you get stomped by the 5th place Wild!😅😂🤣😂🤣😂

  17. So many salty Canucks fans in these comments.

    "Four 5on3 advantages…seems suspicious"

How about the Canucks' players quit committing OBVIOUS penalties? You think the refs should just swallow their whistles on blatant high sticks, hooks, and/or delay of games? They're not even questionable calls.. blatant and obvious. Y'all are just salty because your team wasn't disciplined.

The Wild goal that was taken away: the goalie's leg was obstructing the view of the puck, it slid underneath the net, and eventually wound up in the back of the net. It was reviewed and correctly confirmed as a no goal. Why is that controversial? Salty

Complaining about the scramble in front of the net not being blown dead? I can understand the frustration but upon replay, you see non-goalie Canuck players grabbing the puck and laying on top of it. Only the goalie can ice the puck and they were lucky to not receive a delay of game penalty for it. Just more undisciplined play and salty bias from fans.
