I thought Bains played well, but the best compliment you could give him is that the Avs were matching their 1st unit against Garland/Blueger/Bains all night and Tocchet kept him on that line in the 3rd.
Losses suck but I’m not too mad about this one, in my opinion we outplayed a good avs team on a back to back in their rink where they were 12-1 in their last 13, and it would’ve been a different game if a couple of their lucky bounces went our way instead. Time to move on and get our PP rolling cause we’re still playing solid 5 on 5 hockey

That All-Star break screwed up our momentum. Canucks haven’t looked dominant since that lost to Boston. I hope that’s not getting to them.

These are one of those losses where I think if it happend liked two games ago, it wouldn’t sting as much.
The only reason why this loss hurts so much is because of last games performance.
Oh well, one more game against the avs, finally in our own arena. Let’s see how they do in Seattle.

In isolation, this loss doesn’t bug me too much. The lack of PP production however…
You know what I think the power play needs to get it going? More drop passes.
I think if they added another 2-3 drop passes before dumping it in they would be able to set up a lot better when on the man advantage.
Seriously though. If I have to watch them do that stupid useless drop pass just to end up dump and chasing the puck I’ll have an aneurism.

This wasn’t fun but I’m surprisingly not mad. Bains looked like a champ. Another Miller goal.
That power play though oooooooof. We could have had ’em.
If we lose to the kraken, (not saying we’re going to, just if) I’d like to see the lotto line put back together for the Boston game
Team played well in a back to back, at altitude against another elite team. I didn’t like the last 2 games but this one they just didn’t get the bounces. Easily coulda been 3-1 the other way.
It’s the Minnesota game that leaves a bad taste after this loss. If they won that game like they should have and lost this game 3 – 1, I wouldn’t feel too bad. They played well tonight, for the most part. Good enough to win at least.
The power play though looks real poor as of late. I wish Hughes would try to get more pucks on net from the point like he was doing earlier in the year.
Great game, as good as it gets. Either team could have won, and no bullshit, handbag swinging. Good job, both teams!
