Dmitry Orlov thought he had a goal for the Capitals, but a coach’s review overturned the call due to goalie interference.

  1. doesn't really matter crybabies. sharks had the speed and the better goaltending than the capitals, even if the goal was allowed still would have been a bad loss

  2. all hockey fans should be worried and upset with this call, even us sharks fans. whats next, a major penalty for snow showering a goalie? jones was beat fair and square. the review took way too long and was still wrong. if this is the standard, this is bad. but the nhl is famous for being inconsistent, beagle can probably tackle jones next time and the goal will stand. if i have to see every goal reviewed whenever anyone is within a foot of the goalie im going to stop watching the nhl. shits ridiculous.

  3. NHL Rule 78: Protection of Goalkeeper
    Goals should be disallowed only if: (1) an attacking player, either by his positioning or by contact, impairs the goalkeeper's ability to move freely within his crease or defend his goal;

  4. Where's the controversy? This brushing against the goalie has been a reason to disallow a goal for a good couple of seasons now. 🤷‍♂️
