This creates a roster spot and cap space for a recall (MacLean) if Casey can’t go tomorrow. Otherwise, they would’ve had to put someone on waivers today to have the cap space, as putting Casey on regular IR wouldn’t do that. Fasching will be eligible to return a week from tomorrow against Detroit.
Didn’t Roy say a few games back that everyone was ready to go. This sounds like cap shenanigans if you ask me.
