Although not the NHL, I’m sure we all appreciate Slap Shot. It’s a sad day, Paul D’Amato better know as Tim “Dr Hook” McCracken has passed at the age of 76.

Had the pleasure of meeting him a few times at charity hockey tournaments. Absolute delight of a person, friendly, funny, outgoing and just a pleasant ass dude. He signed a black and white version of this picture with “to redstarohyeah, see you in the corners!” and it always makes me smile. Rest in peace to a legend!
