ELIAS PETTERSSON CONTRACT OFFER IS HUGE + RED WINGS PROSPECT REJECTS EXTENSION, MORE TRADE RUMOURS
Gosh I feel kind of bad because the Detroit Red Wings are literally playing a game whilst this video is being recorded so hey Wings fans I do not know the results of your game it’s not over yet it’s actually just beginning at the time of me talking into this microphone
But I thought this update was worthwhile enough to make this video anyway and it comes to us via an article from David panota from about 2 hours is ago I had some chores to do had some errands to run so I wasn’t able to make this video
Right away but there are a lot of different things talked about in this piece so I’ll leave a link in the description if you want to go ahead and read this entire thing yourself but of course this video was focusing on two of my favorite teams the Vancouver Canucks
And the Detroit Red Wings and going over the updates from panota that are provided in this article starting out with the more established player of the two let’s talk today about a leas Pon because if you scroll over to the no pressure for PD segment of this piece
David penot goes out there and labels what it is the Vancouver Canucks put on the table take a look at this the Vancouver Canucks and Center ep40 are comfortable waiting for the end of the season to address the Superstar’s contractual status the 25-year-old is on Pace for a second consecutive 100 plus
Point Pace season and is due for a nice race in fact if he wants to commit to an 8-year extension tomorrow he can according to a wellplace source tied to the Vancouver Canucks the Canucks tabled Pon a long-term deal believed to be 8 years wor $12 million per season at the beginning of
2324 that offer has not been rejected it’s there for the taking Pon simply wants to take his time and see how the season plays out and revisit his future in the summer this isn’t about money py is focused on winning that’s why he shut down talks last off season he wanted to
Fully prepare for this year and help the Canucks bring a championship to Vancouver his patience so far is paying off the cans are not feeling any heat either they control his rights as Pon can become an RFA on July 1st but they aren’t applying any significant pressure
The deal is there for him when he’s ready for it right now his priorities are elsewhere and that is winning now you could very well say there’s a little bit of an issue with this not necessarily because oh the Canucks had this offer and Pon is
Waiting to sign it he wants to make sure he’s on a winning team before he commits 8 years etc etc but seriously that dollar amount is quite interesting mostly because when it comes to Alias Pon this season we’ve made a ton of videos just going over his performance
You know he’s got four points in his last five games 12 points in his last 10 he’s on Pace as we had said for 103 points this year which would best his career high from last season but if anybody’s been watching the Vancouver Canucks over the past week or so I don’t
Know if anybody is coming out of these games and saying yeah that’s a 12 million player right there I don’t know what it is but just recently the amount of times this guy’s getting knocked down he’s losing in control of the parck like The X Factor that you want to see out of
$12 million athletes just has not necessarily been there to the same capacity with elas Pon than we’ve seen over some of the other guys that happen to also be expensive like $12 million Nathan McKinnon’s making 12.6 Conor McDavid making 12.5 Austin Matthews signed an extension for 13 if you go
Over to just centers over here how do we do that can we look at a position here Center that’s the number that I wanted to see is Alias Pon a more valuable and therefore more expensive player than let’s just say John taras okay you could probably say yeah an Kopitar you could
Probably say yeah Alexander barov I’m not sure Jack eel I’m not sure man there are a lot of conversations to be had about Alias petson and how good he can be but just the past week or so has not been good to Alias Pon in terms of just
The results that we see him him getting I don’t know what it is but there’s been a growing sentiment of py hate coming from this fan base and I don’t want to say that it’s like completely over reactionary you know of course Alias Pon is arguably the best player on the team
But at the same time there’s a level of value that you have to attach to the profile he has and is that value really like $2 million more than what Jack eel is providing I get it Alias pson is on Pace for 100 points again but his Pace
Has really slowed down the past few weeks you could also say and I’m very on board with this too that he is literally a top 10 point scorer in the NHL but you know who else is JT Miller and Miller is making $8 million I get it there’s a
Long-term potential here with Eep he’s a lot younger he’s got better years ahead of him hopefully but for right now it’s very interesting to see the idea tossed out there that Pon signing for $12 million is not off the table here it’s just going to be interesting if that
Contract gets signed let’s say tomorrow for example and Pon continues going through this stretch of play where he keeps on getting knocked down and he’s not really doing all too much with it he’s only at a point per game and I say only at a point per game because if
You’re a $1 million player the expectation is you’re way above that you’re always in that Five Points in three games territory week by week by week there’s no room for slowing down if you’re a $12 million plus player so for Alias Pon I I know maybe I’m just being
A little bit too harsh on the guy maybe that’s just me but when it comes to him it’s interesting to see how there apparently still is that offer on the table and how all it relies upon here is Pon himself to choose when to sign it
Now going from one super sued to another Super sued let’s scroll down to the here and there section of this article and talk about the currently playing Detroit Red Wings because as the wings explore the trade market and look to add non-rental pieces to their roster young forward jannis and bergren remains an
Asset they are dangling as bait the 23-year-old is having an outstanding year in the AHL with 38 points in 37 games and he performed well in a brief stint with the big Club but word is he recently rejected a contract extension pitch by the wings and once a shot at a
Full-time NHL gig something he clearly isn’t getting right now in Detroit around five teams including Calgary and Montreal have expressed interest now we have made a bunch of videos about Jonathan berren already we had talked about the Canadians we had talked about the sends now Calgary is entering the
Mix here too bergren is a really good player at his overo per game stint in the AHL and the fact that he got 28 points in 67 games played last year with the regular NHL team this certainly is a guy that you could say belongs in the
National Hockey League but Stevie Y and the wings they’re not giving him that opportunity it now seems like he has rejected a contract extension which makes it almost a guarantee at this point that the wings are going to have to trade this guy away now when it comes
To the idea of Montreal and Calgary we had already talked about the Habs a bunch they like taking these younger guys that have more potential and more to show for and putting them into the NHL seeing what they could do Calgary they’re sort of in a similar boat
They’re now kind of experimenting more so with guys who happen to be younger and who happen to be able to be signed for a little bit longer they just traded away lindol for Kenco who was younger and who has an extra year they traded away to Foley for Sharon govic and
That’s looking pretty good they’re giving yakob p a they’re actually going out there and using young guys on their team so Jonathan bergren could be yet another one of these names if that is who they’re targeting now I also wanted to say one more thing this was brought
Up on the Grand Rapids Griffins broadcast from yesterday during the team’s game against the Texas Stars the broadcast mentioned there are nine different team scouts at the game tonight it’s trade deadline season and those Scouts were from Calgary San Jose Arizona Nashville Ottawa New York the Islanders Toronto Dallas and Anaheim now
You can eliminate Dallas because they’re literally playing the Texas Stars that’s a Dallas farm team it’s very likely they were just scouting their own Players Toronto is in here Anaheim the Islanders Ottawa so we had talked about them Calgary is in the same boat too maybe they’re going out there and scouting
That Jonathan berren against the Texas Stars so we’re really starting to see more interest pick up on these guys especially now with the word that the contract extension was rejected by berren self this makes it a lot more likely that a trade is coming soon so
Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below if you’re a Vancouver Canucks fan what are your thoughts on the Alias Pon $12 million deal and what are your thoughts if you’re a Red Wings fan on Jonathan Beren garnering more interest this time from Calgary as well
And what do you think he actually goes for when he does get traded I’m saying when he gets traded and not if he gets traded because at this point it seems like it’s a very likely conclusion but thoughts in the comment section below about elas Pon of the Vancouver Canucks
As well as thoughts in the comment section Below on Janan Beren I hope you enjoyed this v99 and bye

If they pay him great. I do not think he is worth 12 11 at best
This all depends on how the Canucks do in the playoffs. If it’s a first round exit, he’s probably getting 12. If it’s a Stanley Cup Finals appearance and he’s ppg, 13. If we win the cup and he gets the Conn Smythe, Alvin and JR will just hand him a blank cheque. Pettersson is just focused on the season rn, no need to panic.
@legorocks99 I agree with his play. But you have to think he’s only played with Miller and Boeser for what? 12 games? Pettersson has not exactly have had a great Linesmate. Kuzmenko and Mikhyev.
He is an 8 million kind of player
Bergerren for Xhekaj
Seems like a bit of an overpay. I guess the idea is that there's still room for him to get even better? If so, it makes Vancouver management look brilliant. But still, it's taking a chance, there isn't much room for him to grow at this point, is there?
The Berggren situation is bad asset management from yzerman
He is not 12 million dollars player, let get someone on the trade around 10 million with 85 to 90 points a season and up grade your defense or your fourth line with 2 million left .
