Except from The Athletic Article about Jets Season ticket woes

Reading that last line is quite telling. Chipman is apologizing to season ticket holders and fans. TNSE is willing to do what it takes to make the fractured relationship work moving forward. NHL owners don’t admit mistakes like this. I hope our attendance situation becomes more sustainable after this.

People who say TNSE are blaming the fans are ignorant.

This is all just poor timing as WPG attendance has been doing nothing but growing as the team is playing very well. To boot I feel us fans are up in arms for the simple fact this is literally child’s play considering when there are at least a couple other franchises in worse spots than the jets and bettman has to make a big deal out of this. I’m not saying corporate wpg doesnt need to step up because they do. You definitely can’t put the onus on fans.

I’m a life long fan that now resides in the interior of BC. I’m lucky enough to have tix to go to the March 9th game, but guess what those tix were given to me as a x mas bonus! I do try my best every year to make it to wpg for a game. Do the math. It gets even that more expensive for a fan like my self factoring in flights and accommodations of I’m not staying with family.

All in all, I feel like this is the corporate world milking the blue collar!

  3. Again I ask about retention. As we’ve seen very little aside from a 20% discount on very limited concession items for STH’s.

Nice that now you’re focusing on the people who have left…anything to try to stop the bleeding with the people who have stayed?

This is the equivalent of your ex calling you up 2 years later claiming they’ve changed and things will be better this time.

The reality is they squandered their goodwill in the community and assumed their ticket waitlist would never run down. I still remember our ticket rep being outright flippant when we cancelled our tickets after a decade. Don’t tell me you’ve changed. Show me.

About how this reads… they’re really sorry. Now come give them your money – or else.

Thanks. I never know what to do with sharing those articles, I wish the archive.is link or full copy paste was accepted haha

Never thought I’d say it but good on Chippy for admitting that they have failed in some aspects of the customer/org relationship

Our government is bringing in foreigners to suppress our wages. This isn’t the last we hear about shit like this. This government destroyed our ability to have money for shit like this. I’d love to support the jets, but I also like eating everyday.

So in other words they actually need to work for the money and they aren’t used to that so they are crying instead? Lol

When my season ticket group was in effect, the guys who’s name the tickets were under got a job out of province. We asked TN to transfer the ownership from their name to another one within the group. They said no. I was also on the wait-list to get two more tickets for the upcoming season at the time so the group decided to cancel and wait for my turn. TN threatened to take us to court.

Fuck them, they’re going to need to do a lot better than what they did to get my business back.
