  1. He's a really good kid! …better than the bum-rap fans gave him. For Jr. Team Canada, he played the mature role behind Bedard in a humble way as well. In 4 yrs. Wright will be an impact player, a 1B center a la Ryan O'Reilly…but for what team?

  2. I got to see Wright play a lot. Kid has a lot of skill but work ethic is very low. Lazy with out the puck. If they can fix that with him he will be a solid player.

  3. Shane "Wright" More like Shane "Wrong" 1st overall pick. Habs already have Suzuki who is Shane Wrights celing. Slaf is a future Rantanen.

  4. wright has low standards then, he's soooo much better then slaf lol

imagine a 30 point player is where you want to be 😢

  5. I read that article when it was published, and I got to say it made me respect Wright.

I wish him the best in his career, but not against the Habs, lol

  6. Pretty solid comments from Shane Wright. I'm a lifelong Habs fan, and I love Juraj, but I wish Shane all the best. Different path, but I like the Kraken, and I hope he becomes successful with them.

  7. Are people just making a ridiculous amount of videos on Slafkovsky because they see it as a money maker?Seriously who cares abuUT Slafkovsky he is grossly over rated has a ceiling as a third line player "maybe"I woULD have stuck him in Laval from day 1.
Montreal media and fans are so far removed from a good player they think mediocrity is AMAZING not just mediocrity but while bragging about him and the line the team is losing badly on a big down swing so that line and the team are accomplishing nothing just a bunch of pointless JIBBERISH over SALFKOVSKY.
only on MTL can third line players be called amazing talent he's young ..give him time al kinds of nonsense.

  8. Wright acting pure class, he was the guy I wanted for the draft, I’m happy with Slaf but I hope to see Shane im the NHL being the player he’s meant to be !

  9. I think the kraken organization realize with what they got in Wright is a really talented hockey player that will be putting up points in the NHL. They also understand that 20-21 didn’t favoured his development process to be DOMINANT in his early stages in professional hockey.

The Habs also understood that in picking Slafkovsky they were getting a big young talented man that can juice up a top line quite well with his body, hockey IQ and puck battle.

Two very different players and person. This is a long projection game picking in the top 5 à draft like 2022 that had players whose development was hurt by the 2020 season being canceled in the CHL.

I’d say both are pleased at where each one is at now with the context they’re putting them in.

  10. Good on Shane Wright. Can't stay bitter forever over something as silly as a draft. Looks like he has moved on from the past and is taking all the steps he needs to take to make it. I hope he does. If he keeps this attitude he surely will be a top guy for The Kraken.

  11. I found wright saying he doesnt want to play in the NHL if hes going to get sent down or called up is odd. You dont get to pick and choose when a team needs you or says they think youre ready for the job. How will a team know to keep you 1way or give you job security without seeing how you perform? Its like being a little kid and saying i dont want to go to my baseball game tomorrow because i dont know if ill get benched again. No one thinks like that and you should be grateful you have an opportunity to get called back up. If you dont perform you go back down its that simple. Sorta acting like a diva. Why not get called up for a couple games and see where you’re at? Id want to know how i fit again/progressed after being down in the farm for a bit.

  12. Slafkovsky has been better player even before the draft. It was surprising for people in Canada and US perhaps, but in Europe he was usually a favorite according to bookies. Wright will be decent player, but nowhere near the franchise player caliber

  13. Slaf HAD to makr a quick impact- despite being unpolished, despite being a very large man- and with St. Louis at the helm amd an otherworldly ability to.imorove his game- they went to wotk amd got him there in record time. Kudos- great work from the whole team…

  14. HAHAHA, Wright has been doing alright? He has less points that Mailloux….a defenseman.

Habs definitely took the right player.

  15. What else would Wright say? He has to rebuild his reputation after he came across as an entitled brat. Slaf is a better player than Wright. I hope Wright gets his chance and has a great career but he had to earn it.
