Guys we may very well have our next player to have 80+ points in a season since Kovalev in 2007-2008 with Suzuki if he keeps playing like that! Excited but still sad at the same time especially for Price when you think about it.

All Price needed was some run support. Shame

only one u can blame for price having no one around him during his time here is bargain bin bergevin. heard on the basu and godin podcast that not once during his tenure w the habs did he acquire a first round pick. dude was hell bent on middle-6 players and poor asset management while he had a star goalie for his entire career. really sucks for price, but glad the new management is working hard to acquire picks and players for this teams future

Maybe in the next few years we can have our first player in top 10 of league scoring since Mats Naslund in 1986. I really wonder if that’s gotta be a league record drought

Huge price fan, but the 10.5 million dollar deal really hurt the chances of building a contender around him. Obviously, it was the market rate for him, but Stanley cup winners do so because the team performs above their salaries. Price was never going to over perform the 10.5 million.

to be fair, 80 points in 07 is like 110 points today. scoring is on a whole other level in todays league. i remember jamie benn won the art ross one year with like 80 points..

I hope he pulls off ppg. There were a LOT of people on this subreddit saying he’s just not good enough to lead this team, forwards peak at 24yo, he’s not great defensively or offensively (only good).

Cole is not 100% and Slaf is 19. he’s playing so well.

Price is what happens when you keep Max Verstappen in Toro Rosso for his career instead of bringing him to Red Bull

too bad hes not a #1c. never hit 100 pts. never hit 40g. he might be a good 3rd line c on a contender
