  1. i really think the sharks would be dumb to let him walk. He is hands down our best 2 way forward.. This season will really paint the clear picture of the direction the club will be going in. If he wants to leave let him decide that, but i would be surprised if Doug Wilson doesn't present a decent offer sheet to keep him in san jose.

  2. I dont think its really about money at this point. If all reporting is accurate, he is one of the players who were upset with the Kane situation last year. DW may have burned the bridge on this one by not addressing players concerns last year.

  3. I hate to say this but Keeping Hertl would feel good now, but it won't help improve this team for the future. He's had a history of major injury problems, and by the time the Sharks might contend he will most likely be declining. He is healthy at the moment, in his prime for a few more years and he is at the highest Value that he will be. It would be a mistake NOT to trade him, and potentially acquire GOLD. You've seen some of the trades happening around the league, and just imagine how much we could get for Hertl. The next two drafts are deep. We need to start getting ready to support Eklund, Bordeleau, Weisblatt,Kniazev, etc. Because unfortunately this Core isn't going anywhere, and my fear is DW's dumbass refuses to, or at least won't admit we are rebuilding.

Too many factors have to go right just to be an okay team, and I don't see that happening with this GM, coach, and current Roster. Every Big Money Player on Our Roster has started Declining early, on the wrong side of 30, and with many years left, and 10's of millions of dollars tied up. Got no choice but to burn through these contracts. Vlasic, Burns, Karlsson, Couture, and Kane (although a good player is a cancer) Couture is still good, and we should trade him while we can because that contract will start hurting sooner rather than later. It's a mess DW signed up for, and has lost almost every gamble he's made in recent years. I would rather have Tomas than any player mentioned above, but it doesn't make sense for this team. It is a very dark time to be a Sharks fan. We fell from Grace very abruptly, and have become an embarrassment of a Franchise with the handling of the Kane situation in a matter of just two seasons. I'm almost thankful the Sharks chose to implode during this pandemic so we didn't have to pay to watch this debacle.

The Sharks aren't going to make the playoffs again. Even in a bad Pacific Division. All we should do is sell high for what we can, ride out these absolutely horrendous contracts, and Develop our young Talent, and hope we find a goalie, some centers, and D.

I also don't see Merkley staying in the NHL, he gave us some hope but he's so underwhelming to watch. Ferraro already surpassed him, and so will Kniazev. Yeah he's young, people say give him more time. He's had that, and was invisible in the prospects scrimmage where he should have been shining as an older prospect. Can he turn it around? I hope so. Will he? Probably not.

  4. I relate Hertl to Brandon Belt. Both great players who haven't hit their potential due to injuries. Hopefully Tomas has a strong bounce back season like Belt is enjoying.

  5. I remember when I happened to see a video of Goaltender Dell fighting a teammate. At that moment I knew there was a serious problem in the Shark's organization including other players still on that ice. There is absolutely no WHOLE TEAM when it comes to the Shark's and until they fix that, I really do not see them going to the playoffs (2021-2022) even though I truly wish they would. I love the Shark's, but MAN they have a HUGE problem and Hertl is just the tip of the iceberg and it's been BREWING for SOME years. 😕😳💔😔😢
