Stars traded for Tanev night before last, they thumped Winnipeg last night and I am going to see Dune 2 tonight.
Pretty solid stretch of nights.

Here’s a random question kiddoes – occasionally I’ll remember that Jacob Peterson exists and wonder why he isn’t currently up playing with SJ. Looks like he’s put up 22 pts in 40 GP with their AHL team which isn’t exactly amazing production, but surely Petey is good enough to warrant a bottom-six spot on this current Sharks team, right? Is this a cap issue, or am I just missing something?

Looking at some numbers, and noticed that Wyatt and Stankoven as a pair/duo have much better stats without Benn. 4 goals to 1 against through 4 games. (For whatever reason, 2 of these goals donโt register as line goals so Benn mustโve been off the ice.) Corsi% and XGF% vs. XGA are also better. Small sample set though.
They better make the playoffs because I told my friend to buy a pair of green and black boots for the stars making the playoffs. If they donโt then I have to pay her for the boots
Shoutout Esa Lindell. With two defensemen out he stepped up and ate big minutes and did FINE. Obviously itโs not like he was +12 over the stretch but he was active on every shift putting in the work.
Just felt like a little appreciation was in order.

I’ve been one of those playoff fans of the Stars for years. Never really paid attention to regular season, but absolutely LOVED playoffs, and going to the games are just insanely fun. The past two years, I have been craving watching every game that I can. But, I cannot because…fucking Bally’s.
I have a baseline knowledge of the game, and I could probably list the names of the entire roster, but I couldn’t pick out most of their faces in a lineup. So, I’m enjoying picking up minute details and learning more of the game from you guys in this sub.

edit to add: With the pickup of Tanev, can someone explain to me the importance of him being a right-handed defenseman vs. a southpaw?

The fucking NHL Network show NHL Tonight just talked lovingly about Winnipeg, who we beat last night, and Colorado, who is third. Fuck you NHL net work and fuck you NHL tonight. Bunch of chuckleheads March 3, 2024. On 29 February we beat the shit out of Winnipeg.
