I remember when my daughter Lee-ann told me she met Mikka at sunshine ski hill. She was his biggest fan since his arrival in Calgary, and finally got to meet him. She even had a beer with him, and made small talk. A picture was taken with the two of them, and its hanging on the wall. Thanks for the memories..
Complete Legend! For me he is a top 5 NHL goalie of all time! Just think about what he did as a starter goalie from 2003 to 2013 and his numbers he put up just for ten years were absolutely impressive!

I named one of my dogs “Mika” in honour of Kipper. I’m glad the Flames are honouring him by retiring his number. One of the greatest Flames ever !!
