The Pens are not in a great position to win
vancouver needs a top 6 forward most likely the wing . I think tarensenko right winger would fit well on a line with pettersson . also buchnevich could work but cap issues might need to trade a roster player back like mikehev or garland . defensivley they could add a depth dman in case of injuries.
Rangers traded Buch cuz they couldn’t sign him and had young prospects vying for the position he filled. Bad trade. If he returns with his salary 50% retained by the Blues then it works. Reports are mgmt and Buch’s team did not get along?

Some team will step up and pay the price for Scott Laughton. Very few C's avail. Also plays LW. Great on the PK. Strong defender. Leads by example. Has 2 more years at a reasonable 3/mil per. Briere wants a first or comparable prospect. He'll get it, but no one's talking about Laughts at the moment.

I don't see Pavel Buchneivich coming back to My Rangers, if they can get somebody to do well with Zibanejad & Kreider, even though he had chemistry with them, especially since, as we saw nearly 3 years in St. Louis might have been his best years & even there he was out injured. The Blues better get more than a B tier prospect and a late first for Buchnevich. He’s signed for 1.5 years at $5.8m, a bargain of a contract. Point per game & great defensive players are worth way more than that
I am gonna make a bold prediction myself, and that's the Detroit Red Wings won't do anything to help its roster for an extra push to make the playoffs.. lol.. or maybe the rest of the league has learned their lesson trading with Yzerman.. lol 😅😂
