  1. Honestly, those "low risk high reward" choices don't seem all that appealing, especially if you're talking about giving up Berggren to get them. That's not to say we should "swing for the fences", especially if we're giving up major assets to get one, which depending on the assets and how many, could leave us in a weak position moving forward.

  2. the 1 and only thing that makes sense for the wings is to trade for saros. the wings need to bring up youth and having lyon/saros tandem makes it way less painful. provides a stop gap for cossa/ augustine. Nashville doesnt want a full rebuild so bergeren is a perfect fit as bait. send a 1st bergeren husso + for him

  3. All good people to pick up, but none of them are going to solve the goalie situation.
I know, I know, Thinking ' There is no problem'.
BUT stats show, there actually is.

Detroit is in top 5 in goals scored in the league! Offense is done.
But they are 22nd in goals against. This has only gotten worse as seasons progressed too.

Its not even a defense problem as the shots on goal are pretty normal and often in Detroit's favor, and they still lose games.
Legit. getting a better goaltender to work with Lyons is almost necessary if they want to progress in the playoffs with clearly higher scoring teams to contend against.
    22nd will NOT cut it.

  4. If the wings can't sign Sprong, I just don't get it. He's so damn productive for a bottom 6 low minutes player. It's either him, or some kind of mesh with other teammates.

  5. still crazy to hear Debrincat is part of our core. Such an amazing signing. Not to mention you listed two hometown hero’s

  6. With the last couple games, especially the shutout against FL, I don’t thing Yzerman will be a buyer. I think he’ll stick to the comments he made last year about not going too hard until he feels the team are true cup contenders.

  7. Dont make the mistake the Kraken did and jut let Sprong walk. Kraken gonna miss the playoffs because they lost his 20 goals, you dont find 20 goal scoring bottom 6 players growing on trees.

  8. In the NHL games I think in both my be a pro and franchise modes the Wings ended up getting Kaliyev at some point so it would be weird to see it actually come true.

  9. As a Tampa fan, I’m hoping for Detroit to make the playoffs because while I’m a Tampa fan I am from Michigan and loved Detroit as a secondary…also seriously hope before Tampa’s game Thursday they actually have a new defenseman because Jesus Christ they’re bad defensively this year

  10. Great video as usual! If Buchnevich would immediately be one of the top three, would it be Larkin (no), Raymond, or Debrincat that falls out of the top three? I'm leaving Kane out because of his age.

  11. I'd be willing to give up a #1 draft pick, to get a quality top six forward. They can add in a defenseman currently on the Red Wings roster. I don't know what that will get them. But you have to give up something, to get something of quality. I really don't think they are going to make a major trade. Teams are wary of Yzermen, when it comes to trades.

  12. IF: Stevie wants to trade a few of the dozen of so prospects that will never see the light of day in Detroit for a D or goalie? Fine, whatever.
HOWEVER, if he starts trading 1st and 2nd round picks for rentals, and mortgaging our future, I will go postal.

  13. I don’t think any big moves are going happen. And if one does like hanafin then Yzerman made some magic happen cause I doubt they want any rentals. But finding a way to get rid of holls and husso contracts somehow would be pretty crazy

  14. I think Kaliev will be acquired by the Habs during the summer for their late additional first round pick they got from the monahan trade. He's a big winger, we need that. Hughes does that every offseason so far, with the hope that MSL can work some magic on young talent that need a new place to thrive. I don't see him as an attractive TDL acquisition for a competing team. More like a project for a rebuilding team during the summer.

  15. As a kings fan we have Kaliyev so many chances but he never does anything when given the chance. Dude either plays good but never scores or just plays so badly he needs to be benched.

  16. Jake Guentzel…Stanley Cup winner, proven playoff performer, would be a great fit. The Pens have been very public about wanting prospects in the trade for Jake.
