Some comments here support the "hit". I don't, simply because IT'S NOT HOCKEY! Takes no skill at all to speed up and jump at a player, especially near the boards. I.M.O. hockey was a lot better with skilled players who could play tough when necessary, but didn't attempt to injure the other guy. The idea of the game is to outscore your opponent, not physically assault him. Hate this comment all you want, but that cheap shot IS NOT HOCKEY!
Anyone who doesn't think this is charging needs to read the rule book.

Keefe should’ve sent Reaves out right away after Rempe when he cheapshotted Lyubushkin in the 2nd and no penalty was called. Sure Reaves would’ve got instigator, but to him that’s nothing. Also it would’ve had more meaning and people would stop worrying about Rempes CTE and see he isn’t always the innocent underdog gentlegiant. Instead, we get another staged fight that means nothing. While staged fights are entertaining, fighting was and still is meant for stopping goons from taking advantage of weaker players, especially when no penalty was issued.
Of course it's a clean hit, it was against a leaf. Probably no suspension but clearly a dirty head shot. The NHL is just a joke at this point. It's at the very minimum charging.
Rempe needs to check himself. This isn't how the game is played unless you are Marchand of course. He deserves supplemental discipline.

Dumbass ref, 10ft away, staring at the 2 of them, didn't see a goddam thing. I'm left with only 1 possibility- my 70 year old eyes are lying, there was no penalty to be called here. This IS the problem with the HEN HATECHHH HELL, blind, unaccountable refs…

Rempe should be fined or suspended, period! Why a 6'7" player needs too charge and jump, hitting a player that is about 5" shorter than him? A hit to the head and intent to injure, completely unacceptable! Justice to be served, Parros, wake up an smell the F—ing coffee.

Feet stayed planted until after contact and he glided from about 6 feet away. Clean , but brutal folks. Thats the facts.
As a leafs fans that was a clean hit he is 6'8 his back skate was on the ice before hit he switched his angle a bit. during contact both bodies lifted because of collision.
Rempe hit dirty. .min 2 minutes and possibly major. Hope lybushkin gets back in lineup soon. Reaves got crowd going but one of few heavyweights who didn’t beat up Rempe. Reaves continues to prove how useless he is.
