  1. Wow! Amazing piece. It’s great to see these amazing players in a different light. As for the author, it’s only a matter of time before our Meghan leaves for a national gig. But at least we can all say that we watched her start, covering our Eagles and Avs with the DNVR gang.

  2. Really great segment, thank you Meghan! It always felt that they were like this in the locker room based on how the treat each other when we see it, but it's great to hear their opinions and approaches with each other and themselves

  3. great report Meghan, great to see these guys being so open about this topic and how supportive they are of each other.

  4. Well done Meghan! An important aspect all of us have to manage. Much less under the microscope these guys are under. Mental health and addressing it should be accepted and normalized. And not seen as a weakness when someone tries to address it.

  5. such an important subject! thank you for putting this together. btw you might want to find ways to improve your captions. they were off in several places, which might make it difficult for folks who are deaf or hard of hearing to understand.

  6. Amazing job on this. It means so much to hear that these guys are watching out for each other and taking care of themselves ❤️ Thanks for reporting on this ❤

  7. As a mental health provider, this is outstanding work to destigmatize and and normalize mental heath challenges and support. Good journalism and Elite leadership in the club!

  8. Fantastic piece! I love that these things are becoming normalized in the NHL. Just look at Sammy G….since he's been back, he's been OUTSTANDING! More importantly….these people need to care for themselves…yeah, they make money, but it's not an easy life. Well done, Meghan. Thank you for this.

  9. Former college athlete here: It's easy to forget how deep success or failure runs for an athlete. The dedication and sacrifice necessary to make it is insane. So much of your identity and self worth is tied to how well you play. If you don't live up to your own standards and expectations, it feels like not only are you failing in life, but also perhaps that you've wasted it.

They're living their dreams, but if it doesn't go to plan it just as easily feels like a nightmare.

  10. This is an incredible piece. I love this team and love that their culture encourages the openness needed to deal with the tough stuff that mental health issues can cause. Great job, Meghan! 💜

  11. This is possibly the best but certainly most important pieces DNVR has ever done. Great job, would love more content like this HINT HINT
