Mark Stone will be out for the remainder of the 2023-24 NHL season and is questionable for post season due to some LTIR shenanigans.

  1. The cap should be hard and fast, period. Day 1 to the day a team hoist the cup they need to be under the cap. Enough of this horse shit

  2. I am a bolts fan, and I hope more teams use the rule, and I will laugh at everyone that tried to be cute in the comments and throw shade at Tampa, dude has hip surgery and I guess Kuch should have rushed his return. *eye rolls*. If you didnt agree with tampa when they tried to change the rules, then you have no place to complain then or now. Dudes got a lacerated spleen hope he takes all the time he needs to recover.

  3. suprised that this is the only vegas content. Let’s not ignore the fact that one of our lines is entirely maddening up of ahl players (rempal/denisenko, morelli, and froese) and even more ahl players (brisson). We are in a bad stretch and we need stone. Him getting “injured” is the last thing we want because we cannot play an entire ahl line for the rest of the season. We are dropping a lot of points recently and I won’t be surprised if we drop a place to edmonton. I just hope we make the playoffs with these blows

  4. I suppose if my team had a bunch of top players on LTIR before the cap and then they were in the playoffs, I'd be ok with it, but they should change the rule. It's Brutal.

  5. I respect the injury but lets be real. If it was Ottawa with this situation they;d be kicked out the league. The NHL hates Canada and its timet o just abandon the NHL. Add the existing NHL teams plus the best Q, O and W teams to an all pro league

  6. The cap should also be present in the playoffs and no one would circumvent. Simple. And I don't care that it's bonuses only in the playoffs. Apply the cap, or don't be puzzled when Chicago, Tampa, Vegas and everyone else play dirty.

  7. this video just seem like click bait garbage over a man who actually has a serious injury. I get it everyone has their opinions with this LTIR crap but this video just seems more of a way to hate on vegas fans then talk about the issue especially with that title of the video. Everyone knows vegas has had problems staying healthy for a few seasons now and trust me if us fans could choose to just have our players healthy we would and so would our players. I mean look at our team right now half of it is ahl players and were currently losing many points recently even threatening to potentially drop out of a playoff spot depending on how well we end the season. (ik its still not too likely we drop out but still easily a possibility) so hows that gonna work out for us and this whole LTIR situation if we dont even make the playoffs. its all just nonsense to me in my opinion to start claiming players do this stuff on purpose. yeah okkkkkkk buddy

  8. How could a team from a city with world-renowned ethical standards possibly be cheating???!?

Again. Couldn’t happen. I mean lacerated spleens are soooo easy to confirm. Totally probably real just like Stone’s back which magically got better right before playoffs.

  9. So basically, all NHL teams should just, idk, break a finger of each superstar on their team 2 months before the playoffs. Trade for more superstars and then play them all in the playoffs.

  10. I feel like there should be a rule saying if a player goes on LTIR, if their return for the playoffs puts them over the cap space by a certain amount of money, they must miss the first round

  11. Maybe these old broken down men should retire. The moves that the Lightning and Knights made over the last 4 seasons are bullshit for competition. Building a healthy reliable team is part of the task.

  12. I won’t criticize putting him there since the injury can kill him but I despise using the cap space and abusing the LTIR rule. It needs to be changed. How many teams have been robbed of cups with this BS?

  13. It's more like the salary only applies to the regular season because every team plays 82 games but not every team makes the playoffs so the league and players' association have an agreed upon salary for the players in the playoffs that's usually the same for each player and way less than someone like Mark Stone would make per game during the regular season

  14. There's no doubt that Barb helped Vegas win the cup last year, but was he really the difference between them winning the cup or not? Its something to think about. I think most fans would be fine with their own team doing this, considering its allowed per the rules. They just get mad when their team loses and didn't take this route.

  15. The injuries are real the return dates are cheating the system.

Players prior ti the cap circumvention used to come back when healthy, they would usually want to try and play a few games before the playoffs to get their conditioning and timing right. Now they are suddenly not healthy until game 1 or not healthy until another player is injured.

    This is not a coincidence.

  16. I’m sure that Vegas just absolutely wanted there top 2 forwards out for the rest of the season, obviously that’s working out really well for them lately. Get your heads out of your asses a player is hurt what is he supposed to do

  17. Cocksuckers are targeting the same forwards as Edmonton and as an Oilers fan that really sucks.

  18. Why are people complaining about something all 32 teams have the right to do and saying nothing about state tax disparities that benefit a select few sunbelt teams and nobody else? The NHL overshot the mark saving those markets and now the rest of the league and their fans have to bankroll their Stanley Cup championships.

  19. I just hope they get bounced early in the playoffs or miss it entirely. Them going deep after conveniently being able to benefit from LTIR shenanigans again would be such bullshit.

  20. People bitching about the Lightning cap shenanigans. Bruh every single cup winner has been well above the cap. Vegas was 15 mill over, Blackhawks were always well over the cap, Kings' first cup run they were well over 10 mill over. This is a part of hockey and if it was an issue, the CBA would've changed it when they had several opportunities to. Get over it people.

  21. You seeing how Knights are playing at the moment? They are at risk of falling out of the playoff if they continue like this.

  22. Just include salary cap limitations in the playoffs. Easy fix. Even if it only applies to the 20 guys you dress for any given game, just apply the salary cap to the playoffs. If you go over? You forfeit the game.

Now, I'm not going to claim Stone's injury is fake. I doubt they could fake a lacerated spleen, and I hope he recovers fully. But it shouldn't be something that can work to your team's advantage come playoff time.

  23. If a player is put on ltir after all star week-end he shouldn't have the right to come back for playoffs. It's that simple

  24. All of this talk is IF Vegas can make playoffs. The team has been in complete free fall for the past 3 months and is slowly slipping out of a clinching spot. Defense has been nonexistent.

  25. I think Mark Stone and Las Vegas Knights since day 1 are the biggest cheaters in modern sports. I can't wait for them to have their "rebuilding" Era like San Jose and others are in.

  26. This is a classic “rules of the game”. Is it cheating in poker if someone lies? No. If this is against the rules, then make it against the rules. Don’t criticize them for taking advantage of a loophole, criticize the loophole.

  27. I’m done with the NHL until they get rid of the loophole. Tampa was disgusting with this- Chicago were the masters of cheating. Done with this shit.

  28. They will go and bring back Reilly Smith I think if their Captain is out and their old AC not to mention former misfit is available they will get him. Plus Jake is on LTIR as well and will look to sign a deal while Smith ironically wants out of Pitt

  29. Salary cap is easy to fix. Do what you want. The roster that plays the last game of the regular season is your play off roster. No cap involved. No problems. No mark stone in the regular season. No mark stone in the playoffs. The last week off the regular season may require a salary cap freeze of some kind to prevent rich people from thinking rules do not apply to them.
