This sub is gonna hate me but I’m stoked as hell on this. Wennberg is a good dude who has improved his trading stock for us and I’ll appreciate him for that at least…

    i must not fear

    fear is the mind killer

fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration

    i will face my fear

i will permit it to pass over me and through me

and when it has gone past i will turn the inner eye to see its path

where the fear has gone there will be nothing

    only i will remain

    I’m gonna be honest… I’m happy it wasn’t Ebs.

Wenneberg has gotten so much better over the past few seasons. He is a very underrated defensive player. I hope he goes to a team where he can win the Stanley Cup.

I love Wenny, but hopefully this is a good move for all involved. Go win yourself a cup!

I figured someone was going to go & I guess this makes the most sense. Doesn’t mean I have to like it though.

Wenny! I hope this dude succeeds at every opportunity. Good player, better man.

I will miss him, but I’ve been bracing myself for this.

Rangers fan creeping here since we’ve been tied to him:

Any idea of what Seattle would want back? Picks or certain positions?

And is Eberle also on the block? Rangers two needs are a 3C and a RW that can play with Zibanejad and Kreider.

Screw it. I WANT Shane in Seattle tomorrow.

  12. Bitter sweet moment here. Kraken aren’t making the playoffs so we’ll get a good return for a middle 6 center going to a playoff team. Wish him the best, hopefully Wright gets a call up

I like most of our players, and I genuinely do think they are good. That said, the team kinda stinks, and it especially stunk at scoring. Even if you use good parts, you can still build a bad roster. All of our guys are defensively sound 2 way players, which is cool, but you need to score too. We just don’t have a lot of quality finishing right now.

Nobody wants to anybody go, but if we run it back with the same crew again, we’re probably going to get a similar result and the team will be bad again. We need some more offensive talent, and we need it in the top 6. That means some of the current top 6 needs to leave to make room…. just no way around that.

Bummer, but given where we’re sitting in the standings and his contract expiring, I understand it’s likely the prudent play. I’ve been enjoying what he brings to the ice.

I really do appreciate wennberg and I will hold my own reaction until I see what value the or organization is getting in return

Sad to see him go, really started to like him this year. That man has glue on his tape! However, this move was quite expected and I am excited about the C spot that this opens up for Wright.
