I think people might need to ease their expectations about this particular trade deadline.
If a player like Chris Tanev who’s on the last year of his contract and is more than likely aware he’s considered a rental by Stanley Cup contending teams has the option to go to one of the best teams in west, or a young Sabres team clawing to get into the playoffs, they’re picking the guaranteed playoff team every time. Doesn’t mean we can’t sign him in the offseason, but there’s a chance at the cup dangling right in front of him right now.

Adams sounds like a GM about to be fired.
Last year it was “draft and develop”.
This year they regress a bit and suddenly we want to sell prospects to make our team better now. This team needs to be changed, not sprucing up this turd heap
