Oh, bud… It's brutal to see these last few years of his contract being handled this way. Just wasting him being healthy and playing well. Still a long slog ahead just to finish the season.
Here's the thing… Penguin fans LOVE Sid-Geno-Letang. They wanted them re-signed so they "could retire together". That's no way to run a business, but it's the way it is. So, Pens fans, get ready for 3 more years of what you've been seeing for the past several months. Oh, there will be some rearranging of the deck chairs, but as long as there's the aging core (minus Crosby) nothing will really change. I think Todd Reirden needs to be replaced. He's in charge of what some might call the power play and he coaches the defense. And, what's the main issue with the Pens? Power play and defense. Not sure what Mike Vellucci does, but it can't be much as he's never mentioned. For the first time in a LONG time, I'm looking forward to baseball season.

He's won his titles with the nhl giving the team breaks….maybe they should have brought in a better gm.

He should request a trade to a contender. He will be retired by the time the Pens sniff the playoffs again. He deserves better.
