Many leaf fan yell for defensive help and that's the problem, even though I agree. It seems like every big playoff game they only score 1 or 2 goals. Big boys need to be there in big games , thats more important than trades.

Leafs figured it was the first round of the playoffs. Sheldon was trying to instill discipline into a team that he allowed to play without discipline most of the season and they reacted accordingly, they reacted like any 12 year old boy would, by sending dad a message. This team will never grow up and act responsibly because their daddy has given them everything they have asked for. Trade the kids with the no trade clauses over the summer and trade each of them to bottom feeding teams as a reminder that THEY don't control destiny.

So you summed up in one sentence what the entire problem is with this team at the 10:40 mark or so – that this team is made of individuals. That’s all they have been for a decade, a group of super-talented individuals who put up numbers in the regular season but do nothing in the playoffs because they are not a ‘team’. It’s the same reason Edmonton was crap even though they had 5 x first round picks in 6 years or whatever it was…they drafted individuals and did not create a ‘team’. Vegas is the epitome of this. First year in the league they were designed as a TEAM. They had some talent but it wasn’t that individual talent that defined them. That’s what defines the Leafs – individual talent. They’ll do nothing this year as well. Oh, and Keefe is horrible.
