they are not getting high end talent with the 25th pick, or thereabout, next year. I much would have preferred trading for a prospect in someone else's system. Or hand on to Walker and go all in to make the playoffs this year. Someone 20-22 years old that is close to contributing. Don't like trading a very good defenseman for a draft pick that may or may not play in the NHL and if he does, it probably won't realistically happen for 3-5 years. Look at late first round 2019 picks….very few have contributed much almost 5 years later.
Briere has done a great job as gm and iam glad seeler was resigned.i doubt that laughton will be traded either

It's a shame the flyers couldn't have finagled a Walker and Frost and something else maybe for Byram and the first. Frost is a very similar player to mittlestadt
