From @TheodoreTooth… heres a hypothetical for yall: if Vegas were to dump Martinez as part of a deal to get Buchnevich or Guentzel at 50% retained, the Golden Knights could ice a cap compliant 23 man roster even if Stone came back tomorrow Rempal/Morelli sent down, Cotter/Bjornfot waived
Cotter would 1000% get claimed. No doubt they’d do it to be cap compliant, but given how protective the team was with Kolesar a few years ago, there isn’t a chance they’d willingly risk losing him

Not sure I’d be confident dumping Martinez. He’s definitely been in a slump lately, no denying, but he’s a proven playoff performer. I also feel it would be a dick move, trading him to what would be a non-contender in his last year before he likely retires
Not that it matters anyway. Stone wouldn’t come back until playoffs anyway

Cotter has been a downer recently but no point waiving him. He has value for sure.
