On today’s episode of Locked on Wild, we react to the news that Brandon Duhaime has been traded to the Colorado Avalanche for a 2026 3rd round pick. We let Avs fans know what they are getting in Duhaime, not only on the ice but the personality he brings as well. We discuss the return compared to what other deals have netted so far this deadline, while also acknowledging that the return for a 4th line guy isn’t going to be anything big, but it is an asset that Bill Guerin can use for a future deal between now and 2026. Meh. Seth and this channel have a relationship with the guy but let's be honest: He hasn't scored a goal since November 12th. Avs need some depth and toughness and he'll provide that given they'll likely play 10-plus playoff games. Seth is correct that players with his toolkit are more valuable to some teams than other. Hope he succeeds in Denver.
