I hope Coop shows some fire and takes some accountability at the presser. He didn’t have this team ready to go tonight. Truly a trainwreck from start to finish. No effort, a disaster in their own zone, lazy turnovers. Forwards, defense and goaltending all terrible. No excuse to keep stacking bad performances like this on home ice against bad teams.

Watch a Blackhawks game, a Sharks game or an Islanders game. There’s teams that don’t have the firepower, and then teams that don’t give a fuck. We look like we don’t give a fuck which is infinitely more frustrating. We’ve been getting out worked night in night out barely in a playoff spot. Where the fuck is our head at?

  3. BigBuddha15

This game was a microcosm of all the problems we’ve had on defense. Goals off turnovers, goals off not pressuring the puck, and goals by leaving dudes wide open in front of the net multiple times

  4. Skroskznik_

Well, we get Duclair and Jeannot may come back next week, so hopefully some scoring will be up, now just a defensive upgrade (unlikely) and we are off to lose in the first round 😀

  5. Ok, horrible game off a break. Sheary 1g1a, hell hath frozen over. We got Duke, which is cool. Good top six and probably 1st line winger who can help us. Still need to address the d problem in the offseason, but a good start.

  6. We probably should accept that we’re going to be letting Stammer and Heddy walk in the next two years.

And maybe we should trade a couple of our other big contracts and get a bunch of quality players like Vegas and Boston have done.

  7. Bigstakes7287

This was a bad game. Really disappointing after that long layoff

  8. Blade_of_3

We are almost guaranteed to lose after a break. The most consistent aspect of the team.

  9. junkrgNew

Its time to start thinking about breaking it up.

  10. Bigstakes7287

Sheary had his best game of the year and boys decided to sleep walk

  11. HannTwistzz

You know this season will never be Kucherov fault. But Damm was he bad tonight. He has been bad by his standards since the ASG. Duclair come on down

  12. Big_ole_mudpie

So we’re in the middle of a playoff push and lost in embarrassing fashion to a team that is icing 8 rookies/ahlers and actively selling. That’s what’s up

  13. Consistent_Driver973

JBB needs to explore how to dump that Cernak contract tomorrow. 8 years yikes. We can grab guys from Syracuse who can give us more.

  14. And here I thought playing Calgary at home would’ve been a good thing.

Welcome to the right side of Florida Mr. Duclair

  15. honkie-mcgee

Getting tired of them trying to force passes to obviously covered players. That was not working tonight.

And seriously, was Sheary one of our best players tonight?! Freakin’ Twilight Zone, man!

  16. BrolexRolex

Whole mix of emotions. Pleasantly surprised Sheary showed up, happy we got Duke; disappointed in the price we paid and the performance we gave. Not much else to be said tbh.

  17. Alchemiist7

the highlights here are Duke is in Tampa and Sheary scored thats it

  18. TehFuriousOne

Of all the hockey games I’ve watched, that was definitely one of them…

I almost hope we don’t make the playoffs this year, let’s just get the heartbreak over with. Zero chance we fo the distance

  19. Brittle_Bones_Bishop

Unpopular opinion but since the allstar break Vasy has been straight ass say what you want but guy’s not stopping anything

  20. thecheezewiz79

We have the early Sudbury blueberry bulldogs disorder. We have a bunch of players that like to win but don’t hate to lose and it shows

  21. Big_ole_mudpie

I just watched Coops post game presser and I have never heard him talk like that about the team.

  22. AceShipDriver

Ok, I’m just a fan but – if the team isn’t jumping on the puck and trying to maintain control of the puck (and the game) – why pull the goalie? I get that it puts an extra man on the ice but 3 goals down, but the team isn’t playing to control the puck (let alone the game), has no jump and looks as if they just want to go home overall – are you honestly expecting to get 3 goals to tie the game? Frankly, empty netters when the team isn’t trying is just embarrassing.
