So glad this man is here to stay! Nick is the glue of this team! And he’s a great role model for guys on how to carry yourself and my god does he play the game with every ounce of energy he has!
This is such a good move on the Flyers side. Quality defensemen who do what Nick Seeler does with every shift are hard to find. He is risking his health every time he blocks a shot, and that kind of willingness can't be coached, it came to Nick naturally. Defensemen in the NHL are sort of like pitchers in MLB, and what Nick Seeler is to the Flyers is like having a great knuckleball pitcher to come in a save the team in close games. Will he score a ton of goals? No, he's not an offensive playing defenseman, but he'll prevent the opponents from scoring by negating their shots with his body. Thank you Nick Seeler, and thank you Danny B. for keeping him.
Impossible not to pull for Nick Seeler. He leaves it all on the ice with the steady defense, shot blocking and standing up for teammates. Look at that goal he scored last year against Vegas, he can flash some good hands too.
