The thing I love about how Danny Briere and Keith Jones along with John Tortorella are addressing the needs for this team have been transparent. To the people who want to whine about re-signing a 30 year old defenseman like Nick Seeler by saying "I thought the Flyers said they're in a rebuild" , listen to what Danny said about a player like Seeler, if you trade away a guy with his skills you'll be trying to find another Nick Seeler the next day. Also, look at the number of 1st and 2nd round picks Danny Briere has been stockpiling for the next two drafts. That's how good teams rebuild. The current team have been playing very good this season, and they actually could make it into the wildcard series. I'd rather have a team in a rebuild getting a taste of the playoffs instead of sitting in the cellar with no hope.
That comment about the fans was weird from meltzer. He didn’t say that he was going to do anything to make the playoffs. He specifically said if a move comes that make sense for the future he will do it. If fans get mad about this press conference then they aren’t worth paying attention to

We really don’t have to make big moves bc we have a lot of talent in our farm system we can call players up we brought up 2 players that could make a big difference

A first round pick from the Lanch is pretty far down the line. Certainly Briere knows this. He's top notch. I wish we still had Walker, a known commodity who wanted to stay.
You are doing a great job so far Danny .. 4 1st round picks over the next 2 years just so far is awesome .. I do think Johansson could be ok though on the 3rd line .. He does have 13 goals so far this year and knows Torts a bit .. BUT l hate bein a couch Tater anylist .. So l do trust You and Keiths decision moving forward .. 2 great hockey minds!!
Danny cooking at the trade deadline and and despite all of the injuries on D they still beat the best team in the league. This season has been quite the journey I swear

Its rather obvious at this point Ryan Poehling is the #1 centre. Did anyone notice Bobby Brink went missing yet again. Thats another one for the divorce lawyers.
